Description

The Out Now series by MCA and Chrysalis was also established as a rival to the series, [6] but was short-lived and lasted only two volumes. Many of these artists have gone on to become global superstars such as Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, Walk The Moon, Maggie Rogers, Rae Sremmurd, Zara Larsson, Jacob Whitesides, and Tate McRae. Now Summer 2014 was the last in the second series, on the third series the season was dropped and instead the year and volume is used for example Now 2014 Vol. EMI Asia has also released Now Dance (2000), Now The Essential Collection (2003), Now + volume 1 (2004) and Now + volume 2 (2005). Now 08 was the last of this series however a second series took over this time with seasons instead of volumes for example Now Winter 2005, Now Spring 2005.

This track’s got a great atmosphere and some interesting lines, but it could do with some more melody. Due to a lack of dance music on this volume, there were plenty of other omissions to choose from including hits from Freemasons, Les Rythmes Digitales, Uniting Nations, Craig David, Dannii Minogue, Lisa Scott-Lee, Charlotte Church, Sean Paul, Ciara and others. Released in association with the Official Chart Company to "celebrate 70 years of the official UK singles chart".

Another strand of the Now Yearbook series, in August 2022, is the somewhat experimental release of a limited edition, extended play, 7" vinyl single, containing 2 tracks each from the 1983 and 1984 Yearbooks.

My favourite on Disc 1 was Since U Been Gone, although run incredibly close by Bad Day, We Belong Together and Suddenly I See and Song 4 Lovers and I Said Never Again aren't too far behind either, I'd count all six as some of my all-time favourite songs <3 Love Generation edges out Dr Pressure as my favourite on Disc 2. The series took its name from a 1920s British advertising poster for Danish Bacon featuring a pig saying "Now. Since the release of Volume 32 in 2009, albums have included bonus "Now What's Next" tracks by not-yet-fully-established artists at the expense of additional hit songs. It features tracks by recent artists, including Alexandra Burke, Jessie J, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Tinie Tempah, Calvin Harris and Plan B. The tune is nice and anthemic, if extremely overplayed, but the theme and lyrics are really problematic.

The track listings on the Mexican albums are only slightly different from those of the Argentine ones. Richard Branson had bought the poster for his cousin, Simon Draper, to hang behind Draper's desk at the Virgin Records office. What was disappointing from this time was the inability to include more than one song from an artist on the same volume, meaning that hits from Kelly Clarkson, Girls Aloud and Goldfrapp were missed off. fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.A further release, The Final Chapter, a deluxe 4-CD and 3-LP set, was issued in December 2022, rounding off the Yearbook years 1980 to 1984. The track listings on the Argentine Now albums are only slightly different from those of the Mexican ones.
