Most importantly, i'm glad it worked out well for you as that's the most important thing. If you are happy AND paid less, than that was 100% the right decision for you. The unit can be ‘played’ like a keyboard although it’s not as intuitive as it could be. For other MIDI (control and otherwise) options, the global button allows you to set various aspects of the device so it fits with the rest of your gear, including things like 5 or 10 volts for pitch output, CC control mapping and the like. And as SQ-64 doesn’t just output to CV but also to MIDI, it is open to any gear you might care to mention, including hooking up to your DAW to sequence software instruments. So again, if you're looking to REALLY get busy beyond clip launching and drums, or playing a few full velocity synth parts with consistent release settings.......or think you will in the not too distant future.....then the Push can be worth the extra long-term because of its versatility.
