Description

With a 180° adjustable mount, the headlamp can be angled as appropriate and the breathable headband and rubber pad provide support and comfort. The runtime tests were done in a closed environment with about 20° C, using the fully charged 3500 mAh 18650 battery supplied.

It’s comfortable to wear, and will most likely find its way into the set of headlamps I leave lying around the place after I do a few small modifications, as per the next paragraph. International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. The Nitecore HC68 headlamp has a maximum output of 2000 lumens and a beam range of up to 202 meters. Three flashes is above 50% power, two flashes is below 50% power and one flash is below 10% power and the battery should be charged or replaced. I had previously been using a hand-held or floor light when working on cars, but while working on my daughter’s car, the utility of a headlamp like the HC68 became apparent.TURBO and HIGHER Availability: The TURBO level and HIGHER level are only accessible when using an 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery with a discharge current over 8A.

All output I FL1 standards: The calculated value of distance in meters at which the flashlight produce a light intensity of 0. Removing the light itself from the headband was a little tough to do at first, but with repeated removals and reattachments, it’s easier to do – the loops holding the light in are tougher than I first anticipated, so they can take a bit of stretching without being damaged.

It's also a plus that the HC68 does not feature a proprietary battery (all the 18650 with a button top will work) or a proprietary charging system (standard USB-C). Turbo is dazzlingly bright and had no trouble chasing the shadows away from my entire 1/3-acre back yard! The only way to lock the HC68 out appears to be to loosen the battery cap slightly for a physical lockout.

The lens does heat up quickly in the highest light modes and releasing the charging port might take some getting used to. Note that Zebralights are seemingly no longer available, at least in my region, the above are the best that I could find that are not absurdly expensive AND still available. The main and innovative feature of the Nitecore HC28 is the continuous adjustment of the light output. I don’t think that’s something that I can do, so it ramps down and goes along, but still runs for around 2.
