Sometimes I roll my eyes when fragrances are described as “sexy”. A person can be sexy, and the situation or person they’re wearing a fragrance around can be sexy, but can a fragrance on its own be sexy? To me it is definitely an evening and more formal scent. I think it is too dense for very high temperature situations. I've always liked the smell of the pipe my grandfather smoked; a scent of fragrant tobacco with notes of red fruits and spices. Tom Ford Noir Extreme is undeniably sensual and extremely delicious. I asked a few other fragrance reviewers for their thoughts and here are their responses:

From all Tom Ford Scents. Cmon. Maybe thats the beauty of Tom Ford that one being a man does not realize this scent could become another creation on the lady. Hehe. Good, bad and ugly. This is probably the best scent I ever smelled. A sweet and seductive super gourmand EDP that is male oriented. Delicious. However the performance is really bad. The ultimate compliment getter that no one will ever be able to complement on. I recently did a review of this on my Youtube "Rotten Rebel" and wanted to share my thoughts on it with the fine folks of Fragrantica! Maybe when I get older or train my nose better I’ll be able to appreciate Noir Extreme. But for now, the florals are ruining it for me. Specifically the rose, possibly the jasmine. As it dries down, the leather surfaces with a creamy vanilla and turns the scent more masculine. The cardamom spice hangs around the perimeter with tonka bean and amber. The overall scent darkens with the beautiful leather note, and it get better as it dries. I love the drydown way more than the opening. Noir Extreme Perfume it was a love at first sniff. I remember testing it for the first time in Milan in Sephora during early spring. I was very impressed with the way it smells and performs but in my opinion it’s mainly a fall and winter scent so I said I will give it another try before deciding to buy when falls comes. Tested it last week and nothing changed, it’s really delicious. There is not much difference in scent to the EDP. Wearing them on my arms I can barely tell them apart. The Parfum is ashy and dry, where Noir Extreme EDP is creamier and sweeter. But those differences are so minute, hard to detect, that in the air they would smell the same to majority of people. The cigarette (ash) and leather you get strong whiffs of in the dry-down of the Parfum. In the right setting it would probably work better. I think this is just as sweet, just as fruity, just as boozy, the Kulfi yeah its there as always. So what is different about this that should persuade you to part with the stupendously high price they are asking you t divvy up?

Noir was the first part of the story, and this was created to show the dual sides of man’s personality: conformed and rebellious. When Noir Extreme launched and took centre stage, that fragrance focused more on a man’s non-conformed, carnal side. Now, Noir Extreme dives deeper and depicts when the pressures and pleasures get to boiling point, and it’s typical Tom Ford – a masterpiece. Since starting this blog in 2020, I have reviewed a lot of versatile fragrances. Tom Ford Noir Extreme is not one of them. I classify Noir Extreme as a special occasion scent – it’s perfect for dates and intimate encounters when you want to make a statement on your partner. Furthermore, I doubt you’d be surprised to hear that this fragrance works best when worn in the cooler months of the year. Before I bought this, I tried it at a Sephora. Like many of their testers, the fragrance lost some of its power and I only got to smell the drydown. The drydown is vanilla and leather, and I was happy enough to buy a fresh bottle to get the whole scent profile. Tom Ford Noir Extreme reveals a new dimension of the Noir man. An amber drenched, woody oriental fragrance with a tantalizing and delectable heart, Noir Extreme captures the aspect of the man that relishes in immoderation and dares to be extraordinary. "At the top, I get the cardamon, I get the vanilla, and I get a little saffron, but not enough saffron to result in a leather accord. The mandarin is very subtle. It has an amber feel, and the sandalwood lingers along with the spices, and this with the powdery feel, defines the scent.

I am middle-aged husband and dad of three small kids. My wife and I don’t have the freedom or energy to go out on the town for date nights, and of course not in the dating/hookup scene. So my use case for evening sexy intimate scents is lightly spray after shower at 10pm and go down to have sexy time with my wife 2-3 times a week. Cardamom is a very particular note in fragrances and very popular now but it never seems to work for me in fragrances when it is the start note. Until Noir Extreme Parfum…I know others recognize the kulfi accord, but I do not. I recently spent two weeks in India, from Delhi to Pune to Agra to Dehradun at the foot of the Himilayas. I tried kulfi everywhere and in many flavors hoping to find anything remotely in the ballpark, but nothing came close. There may have been a kulfi recipe one time that inspired this fragrance, but is was impossible to find despite my gaining five pounds looking for it. That is ok, I had never heard of kulfi when I first smelled this fragrance, so I was not really disappointed that the kulfi-connection never materialized. An intensification of the original Noir Extreme scent, Noir Extreme Parfum breathes a heightened concentration of spicy cardamom, spiked with the warmth of Shimoga ginger and the rich sensuality of tonka bean and guaiacwood. ” At the onset, this smells a bit unisex. While people would suggest this is a cool weather fragrance, I feel that this fragrance begs for sunlight. It's playfully sweet. I love the original Noir Extreme for its sensualness. Knowing this is a more intense take on that, I had to try it – and I’m certainly not disappointed. There is no power. It smells like a scent that has the potential to be very powerful. The truth is that the projection is limited from the get-go. Longevity is ok, but only as a skin scent. This bottle you buy for yourself, not for the audience. And what a pity that is. They should reformulate this.

I really like this , I just don't think I could bring myself to buy it. It's a great fragrance its just not special enoughI love scents with character and I am def a fan of perfume playing with your chemistry, weather, mood etc. That's why my question is: This scent is so amazing, to me it is like fusion of TV and sexy stuff going around Versace Crystal Noir and more zesty, not obvious notes/ feelings like in Tobacco V. To me, this opens up in a spicy way and there's a bit of citrus in the opening that adds a certain kind of richness to the spiciness.
