Spooky Stories, as you might guess, is a bit of a genre-inspired book, with terrifying tales as told by Rowley. It’s Kinney’s very first book of short stories, and he’ll be promoting it via a socially distanced tour of 12 bookstores, the “Rowley’s Spooky Drive-Thru Tour.” We’ll have more about that later but in the meantime, enjoy this never before seen, hilariously horrific story from the demented mind of Rowley Jefferson about a boy who experiences terrifying changes to his body….and the truth behind those changes!

Auch dieser Band ist selbstverständlich im typischen Gregs Tagebuch-Stil gestaltet, allerdings wurde natürlich auch dieses Mal der Zeichenstil etwas verändert. Wer schon einen Rupert-Band gelesen hat, der weiß, dass Rupert diese merkwürdige Angewohnheit hat, seine Menschen nasenlos zu zeichnen. Sieht zwar etwas seltsam aus, aber dieses leicht dümmliche (und zugleich supersüße) Aussehen, dass die Figuren dadurch erhalten, passt wahrlich einfach nur perfekt zu Rupert.

You may know Greg Heffley from his Diary of a Wimpy Kid stories. Yeah, well Rowley Jefferson is Greg’s best friend. He’s a generally nice kid, even though he does make some kinda silly, nonsensical choices sometimes that end up landing Greg in hot water. Da mir die ersten beiden Bände der Rupert-Reihe total gut gefallen haben, musste ich natürlich auch den dritten Band unbedingt bei mir einziehen lassen. Auf das neue Rupert-Lesefutter habe ich mich tierisch gefreut!How about “The Scanner” story? What do you think the people who were turned into skeletons took away from their experience?
