A CME is the ejection of material from the Sun into interplanetary space. If the material is directed towards the Earth then the event may result in a disturbance to the Earth's magnetic field and ionosphere. I see there is a thread from 2017 like this already however it predates the change to the alert template syntax in 2018 (?) so I thought it was probably better to keep this separate.
