Description

Here I've been asked if I want to return someone's lost dog, or steal it and dress it as a lion for fun and profit. Let's Build A Zoo truly lets you go wild, with hundreds of animals to breed and import, tons of buildings, foliage, decorations and path types to spruce up your monkey business, and plenty of staff options for keeping your animals happy, and your guests entertained. Escape to a brand new DINOSAUR ISLAND and discover a world of prehistoric beasts. Start a brand new zoo complete with terrifying (and adorable!) creatures, brand new themed shops and a whole host of new decorations to give your guests the ultimate dinosaur experience!

So, Let’s Build a Zoo has no multiplayer modes. Still, if you do want to share your adventures in zookeeping, you can always stream or share footage of your playthroughs on YouTube or Twitch. At first we were trying to get established and then it became about being efficient. Some ten hours in, we wanted the PSC Zoo to be symmetrical. But then we wanted the enclosures to be bigger and grouped by type (you’ve got grass, concrete, desert, tropical, ice and so on for different types of animal) and so the entire layout started to change. We invested heavily in transport, upping our visitor numbers but also our CO2 usage. So then it was about researching bigger and better buses. And so on. The game lets you edit, move and redraw enclosures easily, so toying around with your layout becomes a constant thing. On jumping into the game you are asked to choose your avatar from a selection shown on the screen. Secondly, you are asked to name your first Zoo. If you are indecisive like me this might take more than it should. You are then taken on a tutorial for this park management similar. This shows you everything from local menus (in-game) and how to build, to looking after your animals and guests. I am not going to lie, it took me a while to get to grips with everything in my first zoo. For instance, the first time playing, I totally forgot to feed my animals (not good right?). Choose Your Mascot! The Dinosaur DLC is a fantastic addition to an already great game and is much of the same set up as your original zoo. You can fly there while working on your current zoo, and with you you’ll take a small stipend to set things up. The different dinosaurs are discovered and gain entry to your zoo through a group of palaeontologists who you can pay to discover more variants of dinosaur. With 51 dinosaurs to discover and display in your zoo, there is a lot of digging to be done. From your favourite stegosaurus to extinct mammals like woolly mammoths. However, they’re not just mindless wallets on legs. Visitors need toilets, bins (if you don’t want litter everywhere) and they want to see that the animals are cared for. Also, if you want them to stay, the zoo needs decorations and, for late evening opening, decent lighting. All of this uses electricity and there’s a need to be ecologically responsible, so you might want to build wind-based electricity generators and pump your own water.Let’s Build a Zoo, now available on consoles, is a lot of fun. But can you share the zookeeping shenanigans? Does it have multiplayer or co-op mode? In terms of niggles, we’ve not got many. The main one initially is that the game uses Windows-style er… windows with the X in the corner. However, you don’t press X to close them. You press the circle button. This is surprisingly irritating early on but you do get used to it. And there is a recurring thing where our cursor kept disappearing. We’re not sure what causes it or how we kept fixing it but it’s an annoyance.

This is not a relaxing game at all and not for those who may get even a small amount of anxiety because this will bring it out. Construct and decorate enclosures, buy and breed animals, hire zookeepers and vets... then try your hand at DNA splicing, and stitch together over 300,000 different types of animal. This can only go smoothly... Let's Build A Zoo is available for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch and PC ( Steam / Epic Games Store). To celebrate, we've put out a brand new free update for the base game today, called the Sloths and Spas update! We'll leave you to guess what's in that. Your adventures on this unexplored Dinosaur Island will be full of brand new quests, moral choices and news articles. Build a successful Zoo in this lush, fresh setting, and make meaningful choices to shape it! Let’s Build A Zoo is a pixel art title, however, it doesn’t just feel like your standard pixel art. It almost feels like it has been polished slightly to leave a nice smooth edge. The designs of all the in-game assets really brought the game to life. The animal assets and animations used to look great. I would be lying if I said I didn’t smile when I first saw a little rabbit hopping around the enclosure I just made. Zoo Life Let's Build a Zoo is going deep. Aquarium Odyssey is a sprawling, fintastic content overload coming to the game later this year, adding an a-trout-cious amount of new aquatic creatures, and a full new story campaign that'll be kraken you up for 20+ hours! Developed by Springloaded and published by No More Robots, we finally have a console release of the ever-popular pixel-sim title, Let’s Build A Zoo. The game is available now across all platforms. Not Just Another Zoo Sim!
