I've started this book with an idea of how I thought that things could happen, and it did follow that path, untill around 35/40% of the book. Braxton is a badass who I can relate to on many levels. Her family is cult-like religious and there are major troubles within the community she was raised in. Her past is one that leaves her often feeling guilty for living her life how she wants to. She is incredibly strong and harnesses that strength throughout the book.

Braxton's synthesis is very interesting - she experiences sounds as colors, which is a common phenomenon among those who have the feature, but she also smells emotions! The smell of cherries is passion, the smell of olives is sorrow and so on. I Must tell that this is a completely new invention of the writer and has not been known to be true . it is her right, only I thought it was pretentious and absurd. They're in need of a new member to fill one of the vacated post and in walks Braxton Fawn. Supremely talented vocalist, guitarist and a GIRL!! 😲 the band and the manager are caught unawares and their jaws hang open and pants get tighter..esp the crotch areas cause she's drop dead sexy too🤪 This book is an emotional and really long journey... But although I've felt like not everything was helpful to the story, I really loved the plot, their journey and how every thing closed together. My thoughts punched and then twisted my guts, intensifying when Braxton finally shifted her gaze to me. Her attention felt like phantom fingers tiptoeing down my spine. Goosebumps appeared on my skin just as those full, red lips of hers moved. “I said it was killer.” i always prefer when the heroes of a RH have a history together before they all swoop in on the heroine. there’s an existing bond there between them that’s just as important as their bond with the heroine.

In the wake of Harlow (Low) Westbrook’s father’s death, Low is determined to drown out her feelings with alcohol and sex. Finding her boyfriend trading spit with another girl is the cherry on top of the worst day of her life and the cause of the next series of events which ends with Low getting down and dirty with the junior chapter of the Sainthood, a powerful gang. It seemed easy enough when I boarded their tour bus, but it only took one city for the lines we’d drawn to blur. stars equals “Meh.” I will not read this book again, it had a lot of problems and I did not care for it. Five years ago, I would have jumped off a cliff, confident that my best friends would magically sprout wings and catch me before I fell. Now I wouldn’t so much as cross the street without my own two eyes to guide me. Loren would probably push me in front of a bus just because it’s Tuesday. Braxton teaches him what patience is and after a few more tantrums and a few more games, he too discovers the way to the Promised Land between her legs. This book was more than about a girl with multiple love interests. The core theme of this book was about a friendship on the verge of a breakdown held only together by years of loyalty and devotion, but the pain overrode their bond until Brax came. She would either make or break them and watching them all navigate through their feelings for her and each dealing with their own reasoning for trying to stay away from her made for a very angsty read. B.B. Reid was amazing at describing the scenes and tour life in a way that you actually feel like you are touring with the band. We get multiple points of views from our main characters and I loved seeing their growth throughout the year or so that this book takes place. Braxton comes from an uber Christian community and her parents basically shunned her for having sex and now she thinks she's a sex addict (???) and then it comes out later that she was basically raped by a 30something band member that stopped in her little town when she was 16.
