When I was reading the first chapter, It felt like I was not going to continue this series. You know, some generic characters and isekai plot. But believe me, you're not going to think that you wasted your time, at all. Some people have probably only read the beginning few chapters of this manhwa and decided to slap it with a one star rating. This manhwa is far from being a Masterpiece but I have thoroughly enjoyed it and decided to rate it with a at least a 9. Still if this is not a great story then I don't know what is, considering I binged it all in 2 days. It is truly frustrating to see how an undoubtedly amazing show get treated like a shit. I'm guessing a lot of people have dropped this series and given it a crap rating without reaching ch24(since this is where everything It is understandable why people rate it poorly since at the beginning a lot of things happen and shift. People who join in wishing for the edgy MC we get in the first few chapters will

be disappointed as the story is not just about him. This manhwa definitely plays with your emotions and leaves everything in a gray area. Points of view constantly shift and you don't even know who the main character is. Still the story retains it's coherency and it reads really smoothly. No one is really the hero and you will be able to find a reason to like or dislike pretty much any character that isn't a side character (thinking of you trident bro XD). TLDR: First two chapters are a really interesting stand alone take on what would happen if you returned after 1 year of straight disappearing after being isekaied. Chapter 3-6 is a hot mess of plot holes, bad writing, poor character development, insane pacing, and an unnecessary female companion who seems to exist to just feed thenew dookie spear hero with information, ideas, and plans she should have no real knowledge or reason to know as well as to try and be some kind of moral compass for him. I suggest either just read the first two chapters and stop(my recomendation) or skip the first two chapters if you don't mind all of the above and just don't read the comments that are all just negative because we liked sword hero not spear hero(facts). I am writing my first ever review, so there could be little inflexibility in my view. However, I feel like I absolutely have to write this. The art is more than acceptable. I would say that it is even very good. The really cool scenes also usually get some special care. It is not comparable to the scenes you see in Berserk, but you can't really compare since the two are different mediums.
