It’s absolutely different than No 5 in many ways and if I were to have never smelled the two and reached for Arpege first I would’ve left Chanel behind. I think I'm going to change my rating from Like to Love because anything that makes me so discursive on a topic I know so little about seems pretty significant. There is a definite powdery and woody quality that for me puts it in the same family as L'Heure Bleue, Shalimar, and Chanel's Coco, but the fragrance of Arpege is not quite as distinctive.

Because there is no decorative packaging, we can purchase these items for less and pass the savings on to you. It’s not freshly picked though, some petals fall off and let through a soft sandalwood reminding me a bit of Samsara.

I'm not sure if it's because my nose is lacking or this is so well blended it's hard to pinpoint one specific scent.Floral notes combining jasmine, iris, ylang-ylang and roses provide the base for this classic fragrance with earthy, woody depth from vetiver, musk and sandalwood.

I blind bought based current formulation on reviews here and I would like to add, that it isn´t similar to Chanel No. I guess it would be hard to dislike this considering it does smell like Chanel N° 05 and I’m on N° 05’s side of history (yes, it’s amazing, revolutionary, sensual, erotic, it’s not overrated at all and does NOT smell dated. Neroli adds an orange sweetness, paving the way to the floral heart, complemented to perfection by a juicy peach note.Lanvin perfumes do not have any type of fixation or intensity I have used all the fragrances and none have lasted even 10 minutes I am sorry but it is a perfume brand that does not convince me at all it is frankly a waste of money there are Perfumes or waters of Much cheaper perfumes that last all day I do not recommend it!
