Tamagotchi is a unique new way for Harry Potter fans to interact with and immerse themselves into the world of Harry Potter while combining a sense of childhood nostalgia. The new Tamagotchi will be released later this year in July, just in time for fans to to celebrate Harry’s birthday.After three days (72 hours) of providing good care, the user will be prompted to either release the creature or continue raising it. If the user chooses to keep it, the device will ask again in another three days. If the user chooses to release it, the creature will depart and leave a "thank you" letter. From there, the user can start over again by pressing the A and C buttons together.

If the user chooses "Fantastic Beasts", it will show Newt's briefcase be delivered by an owl. Inside is a magical creature, with only its eyes visible during certain animations. The user is tasked with caring for the creature to coax it out of the briefcase. The Care menu remains the same, but the "pet" is replaced with feeding a piece of candy. There are 14 possible creatures that can appear after the three-hour period is over. It’s up to you to nurture these magical creatures by feeding them, petting them, and playing four different mini-games. Make sure not to neglect your creature or they’ll run away.
