The mystical Blue Pea flower and the alluring Rose Pelargonium stand as the defining botanicals in Six Dogs Blue Gin, complemented by Juniper, Naartjie, Angelica, and Coriander. The Blue Pea blossom mirrors the pH balance of its companion, adjusting its colour to a soft pink due to the tonic’s acidity. When mixing the Pegu Cocktail I found the serving was much nicer when I remixed it using a new construction which used vodka and gin in equal amounts so as to give me the same strength of serving, but with the intensity of the florals reduced to half their strength.

This started the wheels in motion and whilst out walking their dog and discussing potential botanicals they realised the answer was literally all around them – the Stirlingshire nettle. Take a glance at its pictorial representation on the label and box, and you’ll understand the origin of its evocative name. It is the perfume-like quality of the gin which I do not find nearly so attractive this time around.Both gins are crafted using only the finest botanicals and are distilled to perfection, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable drinking experience. It's a potion that whispers sophistication with a mischievous wink, making it perfect for those who enjoy a bit of whimsy in their libations. Gin Blue Line features a range of botanicals including forget-me-nots, Scottish heather, sage and kaffir lime leaves along with a number of classic gin botanicals.
