Next I tried 5" of 1/2" copper. It was slightly more snug than the petg. The results are that it had a tendency to jam because the darts would bounce and not leave the barrel entirely. It did however greatly increase accuracy and range by about 30 feet. The Slingfire comes with a 6-round magazine and six green Nerf elite darts but can be upgraded using any N-Strike Elite magazine—including a 25-round drum! Booyah! The Flipshot also has a two-stage trigger. A half-pull shoots a single shot, and a full-pull will shoot the second dart. So you can choose to shoot one dart at a time or both! If you want a lever action blaster with a large ammo capacity that will spray lines of foam in your future nerf battles, look no further than the Nerf Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-32. That’s a mouthful. This blaster flings darts at an average of 75 FPS, which is an average speed compared to other nerf guns and makes it an excellent option for younger children and adults alike!

The Slingfire would have been number one on this list if it hadn’t recently been discontinued. BUT there is still a decent supply of them floating around online, so I’ll leave it on this list while they are still widely available. Next was 3.75" of brass. This caused about the same range as the 5" copper, but slightly less accurate and the same jamming issue. The first thing you’ll notice when you take the Winchester 1887 out of the box is that it is hefty. This isn’t a cheap plastic toy that will break within a week and is made of solid aluminum and hard ABS plastic. The blaster includes six shells, 20 darts (ten suction darts and ten standard darts), eye protection glasses, and white gloves.

IAmBobololo (2014-07-02). Review: Nerf Zombie Strike Slingfire Unboxing (It's disappointing!) (Video). YouTube. Retrieved on 2014-09-02.The SlingFire's lever uses a gear mechanism and a clutch gear, which disengages when there's too much torque, preventing the lever and mechanism from breaking when too much force is applied to the lever. This means that higher spring loads may not work on the SlingFire. As such, aftermarket metal replacements for the gears and lever exist. As its name would suggest, priming mechanisms are involved in the priming process of a blaster, readying it to be fired. There are many different versions of priming mechanisms, and the mechanism used differs from blaster to blaster. Almost all mechanisms use some sort of priming handle (e.g. a pump handle or lever handle) which allows the user to prime the blaster. It uses an eight-dart non-removable rolling drum and comes with eight orange Nerf Elite darts. Loading this blaster is on the slower side as you must load from the left side and manually spin the drum for each dart.

The Scravenger is the exception to this, avoiding this issue by adding a separate slam fire selector switch. The SLAB is another exception; its trigger moves with the lever, allowing it to be held down while priming to enable slam fire. Let’s start with the coolest features that set it apart from other nerf guns: slam-fire action, naked-gun mode, and a removable two-shot sidearm. It has a single tactical rail on top that is compatible with any N-Strike accessories and a very clean feeling action on the lever. Topping the list of the best lever-action nerf guns is the foam-flinging weapon of nightmares, the Zombie Strike Scravenger. The strange name of this blaster is thought to have come from the combination of the words “ scavenger” and “ scrap.”A sad reality in the Nerf gun world is that many of the best blasters are not actually Nerf products. Instead, they are community or hobbyist projects that eventually sell commercially. Even the most powerful Nerf guns in the world are not Nerf-brand products! There are various modifications that can be performed on a blaster's priming mechanism, such as adding material for a better grip. Conversions can be performed on some blasters, making a blaster have a different priming style altogether; this is more traditionally done to transform bolt-action blasters to pump-action, through a homemade or 3D-printed converter.

This ROBLOX-themed Nerf gun is inspired by the Roblox game Adopt Me! and launches darts at an average of 70 FPS. It is the one of three Nerf blasters to be able to fully function with the jam door open, the others being the Revonix360 and the CrossBolt. The SlingFire was the second Nerf blaster to feature a lever-action mechanism for priming, the first being the Multishot Madness Diatron. Breech-action has been criticized for poor performance, as some blasters may cause darts to warp and bend when they are loaded.Imagine if your nerf gun could eject shells after every round like a real firearm? We’ll dream no longer because the Winchester 1887 Lever Action Shotgun does precisely that!
