A book full of different couple’s Split View with coping mechanisms laid out could have been interesting, but again, the SAME example used by both persons just gets boring.

It's a husband and wife team utterly in love and both doing their absolute best to support one another. It's an easy read, finished in a few hours, and I must admit, I shed a few tears and had a few "oh my god, that's an ADHD thing too?

Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. If you are lucky enough to have a spouse, family member, or friend who can support you then this book may be a good starting point for them to understand some of the ADHD struggles that many people face and how to support them.

Filled with heartbreak and humor in equal measure, Dirty Laundry is an invaluable resource both for neurodivergents and the people who love them. Rox communicates her struggles very well and honest, allowing me to connect with them even when I haven't gone through the exact same thing. Nie jesteś gorszx, bo masz ADHD, ale może Ci być cholernie trudno i samoakceptacja zdecydowanie nie naprawi tego, że żyjesz w społeczeństwie, które cię nie rozumie. I would recommend this book for anyone with ADHD, with partner with ADHD but even friends/families and managers of people that just think differently (possibly undiagnosed ADHD).By bidding on, or purchasing this item, you are agreeing to us sharing your name and address details with that 3rd party supplier to allow us to fulfil our contractual obligations to you. I was thrilled that they narrated themselves for the audiobook, since that’s now the only way I can read, due to my ADHD. More recently it’s been language over physical and mental disabilities, and even the use of the word disability to describe deafness and ADHD. Duża część problemów, które zostały tu przedstawione to rzeczy na które nie ma żadnej rady poza: potrzebujesz specjalisty.

I don't agree with some reviewers who said that ADHD is used to excuse behaviour- it is literally a disability. However, much like the ADHD half of these two authors, I also have done a lot of “tik tok learning” about ADHD- meaning most of these conversations were on my FYP…two years ago.Trochę też uwiera brak wątku leczenia farmakologicznego, które również jest jedną z opcji dla osób neuroróżnorodnych. It is very specific to her and to them, but I found it really helpful to hear how someone on the other side of therapy explains how ADHD affects her. Overall it’s a simple and concise book, filled with personal experiences that may or may not apply to you/your ADHD partner, but is a small step to reframing negative thoughts and hopefully steering people towards the help that they need! I just wrote and then deleted a massive list of the things I am going to try and be more compassionate about – but you don’t really need to know that! and we have different views on lots of things – but we always discuss things in a respectful way (which is pretty bloody unusual in this day and age of polarised opinions being shouted about on social media!

I really liked the fact that you get the perspective of the person with adhd and also the person who lives with them. Richard Pink and his wife Roxanne Emery are often stopped in the street by fans of their social media accounts. This book; in high contrast with others written by doctors; is full with real experiences, authentic anecdotes and real-life situations that the writter has gone through in her journey as someone living with ADHD.Given the majority of the books advice is 'be heavily reliant on someone neurotypical for everything' its not really a surprise. And Rich's side of the ADHD struggles makes me hopeful that I don't have to hide that part of myself away.
