Not to mention that I don't think there was anything that new added to the cast at large in this account - the characters had very little dimensions and connectivity, and the mystery was not so much compelling as the first account because you already know what happens in so many measures.

We are there with him every painful step of the way and afforded a truly different version through Holders voice. There's an honesty and openness, coupled with her effortless prose that makes reading her books easy. Only because I'd already had those experiences and emotions once, and it didn't hit me as hard the second time around. The prologue within Hopeless sets the tone – repetition of the prologue within the main part of the story reinforces the imagery and emotions sharply within the imagination immersing the reader completely. I don’t deserve her understanding and I sure as hell don’t deserve the way she just made my heart feel.That was a MAJOR hole in the story for events, because how would Hope not remember her aunt begging the other family not to tell anyone? It wasn’t just steamy, it was just such a vital and pivotal point in the read and I am so glad it was written the way it was written. All she did was hug me back, but little does she know she just knocked a whole lot of life back into me.

If you loved “Hopeless” - this truly rounds out Holder’s story and just makes you love him more so please check it out.I don't why I was taken back by how intense he is especially since I thought that in the first book. I quickly step in between them and shove Daniel against the locker with my arm, keeping it pressed against his chest. Seriously, I really enjoyed Hopeless but with the knowledge of Dean Holder’s past, inner most thoughts, his sister Leslie and that ending, the completed story was…perfection. What made Hopeless such a great read was all the dynamics that went on, like Sky unraveling her past and Holder making Sky whole again. I couldn't pretend not to know what I already knew, and though having those experiences from another perspective was amazing, they weren't as strong as they were the first time around.
