If you get all all recordings starting like the example you described then I'm surprised and can't offer an explanation. I would say that at least 50% of my recordings are further into the programme than that.

Now my 9150T is working like a goodun can I just remove the 160gig hard drive and replace it with a 500gig sarta drive and just format it, at the moment the hard drive is empty it would be a great time to make it better Auto-tuning works well and had no problem finding all the available channels and radio stations. The 8-day programme guide is core to the functioning of the PVR and is populated with information being broadcast, although it seems to go through this process each time it starts, so you don’t have instant access to the full EPG, which can be a pain and slow you down if you want to set-up a recording as you fly out of the door. It records 75% of the programs that it is set to do, but often refuses to record random programs like coronation street. If I had a suitable older slower 500GB drive in my pc then I'd be upgrading the pc, making it a fair bit faster and using the pc drive for the pvr, just a thought for the more technically minded. The increasing complexity of the UK's broadcast infrastructure and requirement to process a substantially higher volume of information has put the PVRs under pressure and significant performance issues became particularly apparent through the digital switchover. One note : I have a PVR9200 and have changed the disk over. It is quite particular about the disk it will accept : it has to spin up within a certain time or it is rejected (ignored). Also based on experience, having originally replaced the hard disk in my 9200T with a normal (non-CE) Seagate (250GB) HDD - it is still going strong and has never presented any problems.

I don't think the drive has to be a CE drive in particular. You need a 3.5" SATA (not SATA III) that is less than 750GB (I would say doubling your capacity to 320GB is enough and would be safer). The obvious one is movement of the aerial in the wind if it is on the roof. If it is in a loft then have you moved stuff around in the loft or put more stuff up there? I've only ever used standard drives as upgrades and never had a problem. The CE or AV drives are cheaper to manufacture as they don't have the same error correction and are generally slower and have less cache. Ironically they tend to be more expensive retail and at one time it was difficult to get hold of them. I did open up the 9150 to see and couldn't find a battery. I suspect scheduling is all in non volatile ram as mentioned above, which makes fixing this pretty much a no go. The hard drive is a relatively modest 160GB, equating to around 100 hours of standard-def TV. Go easy on the season linking because this PVR will fill up fast. Resolving these issues has been a priority for our technical team who have been working diligently on a fix, but unfortunately, due to the complex nature of the issues, it has taken much longer than we had hoped to develop new software to sort out the PVR issues. Both boxes frequently crash even when not in use, resulting in programmes not being recorded, as i am unaware this has happened. I live in N.Wales which is undergoing transmission problems, but this has been occuring for days now.

The PVR-9510T has two standard-definition Freeview tuners, allowing two different channels to be recorded simultaneously. Recordings are made via the electronic programme guide or directly from a live transmission. You can adjust the start and stop times, and record either single programmes or an entire series. Have 2 new Humax PVRs, both of which are having Mega problems! On one, the guide hasn't fully populated all day and on the other, all is filled other than BBC 1 & 2 Wales. Thanks for the information. It was that one you linked to that I was looking at. Ideally I didn't want to spend too much, as the Humax is quite old anyway, but we prefer to it catch up TV.

If you use the Freeview+ 8-day option on the TUTV PVRs then this is the same as that used by the Humax so will have the same characteristics. However, the TUTV PVRs do take much longer to populate the EPG than they should, up to 7 hours or more in my experience.`But then that is just one of many issues with the TUTV software. As you say if you use the 14-day EPG option on the TUTV PVRs then this should not apply, you either get all or nothing. The main frustrations for me are the incredibly slow EPG. It takes ages to populate. I had a TVonics PVR previously and that cached the EPG while turned off which the 9150 doesn't. Therefore the EPG on the TVonics was there straight away. Even my TV manages to remember the EPG when I turn it off and has it instantly visible when I need it. Thanks for replying. I found a thread on DS about the 9300 which has the same problem but there was an interesting post which claimed that it was noted that the cooling fan was not operating and after replacing the fan it fixed the problem: Save You can save the selected recording part as a different file. Select the starting point using the t/u button and press the RECORD button. Select the ending point using the t/u button and press the RECORD button. Select Save and press the OK button to save the selected part. Select Reset and press the OK button to reset the edit. Warning: This function will overwrite the original recording. Beauty Advent calendars are significantly pricier than chocolate ones, but they've become increasingly popular in the last few years as a way of bagging beauty products at a fraction of the normal cost. They often sell out early, but can also be heavily discounted later if they don't, so here's a round-up of some of the best I’ve seen.

The other irritation is the layout of the remote. It has a sliding flap covering several minor controls. Amongst which is the one to call up the recorded programme list. Of course you are rarely going to need that and would much prefer the five button press method involved using the fully visible controls! Installation is straightforward, but channels are slow to populate. Beneath the bonnet reside two standard-definition Freeview tuners, which enable two channels to be recorded simultaneously. You can schedule each from the programme guide in the time-honoured fashion, padding either the start and stop times to ensure you don't miss a beat. There's also an option to record single shows or entire series. Turbo boost your credit chances and get your free Experian credit report. Credit Card & Loans Eligibility Calculator We recognise this has regrettably caused frustration and problems for some of our PVR-9300T and PVR-9150T users, and in particular those with the older PVR-9200T models." My experience of Accurate Recording is that it is anything but. I doubt all the blame is Humax and a large percentage is the broadcasters. But nearly every recording I made with it turned on was late starting and often cut off before the end as well. So I never use it. But I now can't use Series Link either.I have the 9150T with original 160GB hard drive. Owned the device for a number of years now and it still suits my needs, however I am starting to run out of disk space and am interested in replacing the hard drive with a larger one. Has something changed? For me, missing the beginning of programs is far less frequent than it used to be. The current series of Masterchef for example always starts recording correctly at the BBC2 logo whereas the previous series always seemed to start half way through the introduction of the contestants. What region are you in? If it's a post-DSO region such as Granada, then the specially arranged update (alternating with the 9300 update) is being broadcast on MuxB, which post-DSO regions no longer carry. If this is your situation you will have to wait until the update is able to be scheduled with DTG on their engineering channel on Mux1, which is carried in all regions. This might be some time, as it looks like there are no slots left for December.
