Description

Now use Willie to jump up into the empty slave cage, smash the tool canister there and get a blue cog. Carry this over to the right side of the cavern and place it on the broken engine. If you need a wrench, you'll find one in one of the boxes near the right wall. Repair the engine to obtain artifact piece #8. Reminder, these are toys, made for kids, mostly bought and built by adults, based on mostly adult film properties, marketed to children. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Temple of Doom set, nor the Indy theme, itself. This is a fictional work, based on a beloved IP. To say that Indy sets are somehow insensitive or inappropriate, is both hypocritical and pure hyperbole. If you don’t like it, vote with your wallet, don’t buy it! You need to help him escape by climbing the massive Anubis statue and finding the hidden passage. But watch out for a scary mummy and the snakes coming through the wall! 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol – 1545 pieces

Before speculating about the reasons for this cancellation, here is the statement provided by LEGO: Honestly, I am surprised by many of the comments that I just read above. Chill out! All of these CRT buzzwords like cultural appropriation, colonization, values, etc, etc… Stop being a woke snowflake. Area 1: Mining Tunnel

LEGO Indiana Jones The Temple of Doom (7199) is an exciting toy set that is perfect for children who love adventure and building things. In this review, I will be sharing my personal experience with this product and providing my overall thoughts on it. We’ll likely never know for sure – and you can see why the LEGO Group has not necessarily been keen to begin discussing particular reasons – but there are a few possibilities that jump out, from the film’s controversial themes to the specific imagery depicted in the set. That said, it’s incredibly disappointing to not have a set from The Temple of Doom, and LEGO Indiana Jones fans will sorely miss Short Round, Willie Scott, Mola Ram and more. Naturally more Thuggees come running to see what's happened. As you fight them, one of the freed slaves goes through the crawlspace at the top of the steps on the right and pulls the lever there to raise the 2 square platforms below. You'll use these to reach the exit soon, but there's more to do here first. It is likely the set is just being held to summer or fall, perhaps it needs some adjustments to the build. I am hopeful, it will be for sale, sometime this year.

Better late than never, here's the press release about the three forthcoming sets, and an official statement on the cancellation of the fourth: It's been 14 years since Lego last released a wave of sets based on the Indiana Jones franchise. But with a new movie imminent – Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny– Lego has revitalized the IP, releasing three new sets based on the famous fictional archeologist. LEGO Indiana Jones The Temple of Doom (7199) is a challenging set to assemble, and it really needs a 13-adult person to assemble it. It takes four hours to assemble it and be sure everything works properly. Overall, it’s a fun toy if you are an Indy fan, but it’s very time-consuming and challenging for a younger child to do by themselves. The set is also quite expensive, but it’s worth the investment if you’re looking for a unique and fun LEGO set. Availability The reason he goes out on these expeditions to get the artifacts, antiquities away from characters like Belloq, since they will cash in on these things for profit and exploitation. Indy's philosophy is, he'd never take from an indigenous people (see Temple of Doom) but if there are 'Raiders', he wants to beat them to it, and have it protected in a museum for ALL the world to see and know the history of these forgotten cultures (see The Last Crusade). Personally, my family (mom, uncle, grandparents) and I went to see Temple of Doom, at the theater when I was 13-14ish years old. I loved the film then and I recently watched it about a month ago, enjoying it even more at age 52. This film has amazing set pieces / scenes that should be depicted in LEGO form. But like yours, which I respect, this is just my opinion.

Temple of the Golden Idol

The dinner scene, where non-Thuggee Indians are shown enjoying disgusting "food" consisting of bugs, live eels, and, of course, chilled monkey brains. Easily the segment of the film that has aged the worse, IMO.

After an early look this week, LEGO have finally unveiled the entire 2023 LEGO Indiana Jones range featuring sets and iconic scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Last Crusade. The entrance to this level is the same as for the 1st Story Level: the garage in the right corner of the Shanghai neighborhood. Since this is a vehicle level, it doesn't matter which two characters you use.

Bonus Level 3 - Slave Driver Cave

These potential reasons are pure speculation, offered in the absence of any concrete explanation from the LEGO Group, and may not necessarily reflect the real motivations behind 77014 The Temple of Doom’s cancellation. The only thing that’s certain is that the set won’t be launching alongside 77012 Fighter Plane Chase, 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb and 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol on April 1. Personally, my family took me to see Temple of Doom, at the theater when I was 13-14ish years old. I loved the film then and I recently watched it about a month ago, enjoying it even more at age 52.
