This book features Lennox and Scarlett. Lennox and Scarlett are sent on a trip together. Scarlett is the girlfriend of Maddox who is Lennox twin brother. If you read book 1 you will know the story behind Maddox and Lennox. Scarlett thinks she's going on a trip with her boyfriend but while sat on the plane waiting for her boyfriend Lennox turns up having been forced to take the trip to get him out of the way and also take on a job. A lot happens in this trip which neither of them thought would but it all works out how it was supposed to. I should have seen the omen and run, but by the time I realize that, it’s too late. My heart belongs to both men, but only one can have me. Suddenly I’m caught between them in a battle that can only end in tragedy. Have you ever had a story that you wanted to slow down because you didn’t want it to end—to savor every bit of the characters and events? Author Selena’s “Only Happy When It Rains” did just that––really, the entire Faulkner universe has made me feel this way. In “Only Happy When It Rains,” Lennox, Maddox’s twin brother from the “Rain King,” and Scarlett, Maddox’s girlfriend, find themselves together. Only Happy When it Rains is the second installment in Selena's A Murder of Crows Duet, with a different couple, but a continuing plot. For that, I would advise to read book #1, The Rain King, first.

The action and gang scenes were so fun to read and I loved the island scene so much! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time they were running through the island and the Mayhem Manor. Lennox and Maddox North both have noticed the new girl next girl. She's so sweet and innocent. A temptation that neither of them need to pursue. She's not made like the other girls in the neighborhood. She���s not made for their type of life. Like the Crew girls. When the temptation becomes too much and lines are crossed, the boys agree that they have to stay away from her. Nothing would come between family. Nothing.They say crows are bad omens, but until I met them, a single crow was my only friend. Then the boys next door come to welcome me to the neighborhood. The end of the first book didn't seem very auspicious for Scarlett Stone. Certain she was going on a trip with her boyfriend, she was in for a surprise, life altering events and the man of her nightmares that could very well be of her dreams also. They’re twin brothers, each one more dangerous than the other, each more irresistible. Loyal only to their crew, the Murder of Crows, they refuse to let an outsider like me get too close. That is, until they find out the abuse I suffer at home. This book was definitely soo crazy. It's dark er than anyone ever think a dark romance could get. It's my first book that I've read from this author and i can say that I'm very impressed. The Book sets off with the story from Lennox so Madox's brother (for people who read the first book which i didn't do) and Scarlet. It felt like the ending was just rushed to have it finished and things where thrown in to make it really dark . There really should've been a proper conversation after what Maddox did but there wasn't, the things he done didn't add up to how he was throughout the whole book and I really wish the author hadn't have put it in, especially without any sort of redemption or guilt.

Selena writes such multi-faceted characters and knows how to develop them so well that as the story progresses, what initially seems to be an irredeemable character becomes someone you can easily fall in love with. Only Happy When it Rains is the second book in A Murder of Crows Duet.
