There is a chapter written about this fragrance so i went ahead and bought it just because i felt like i had to being a perfume junky. Also wanted to point out that there are many modern scents out there that will challenge you in the same way, but these scents are the real stinkers, duds, unlike this complex creature. I always spray a little of this, when visiting my mom, she has a lot of powerhouse perfumes, and it's so much fun for me trying them on, experiencing, what works, and what doesn't. With all that being said, Amarige was a huge hit, has stood the test of time, and is a testament to the talent of Dominique Ropion, probably one of the best noses in the biz. I see that others find this to be a predominantly white floral, but I don't get the white floral very much at all.It's as if a delicate white-on-white composition of floral garlands and fruits has been expertly crafted into an olfactory delight. I love everything about it - the classy bottle, the uplifting and attractive scent that hits you immediately, even the colour of the perfume matched perfectly with how it makes me feel. It's natural and fresh, and I think that alongside whatever other fruit molecules with the "plum" sweeten the experience and make this more than just a flower party. This is my moms signature scent and it evokes so many memories of her emerging from the bathroom drowned in its aroma.

My glamorous, dynastyesque coaches showed up in floor length furs (eww, I know, but it was an eighties hold over) layered in rhinestones and the real McCoy, even on their skates, at 5 o’clock in the am. So I will use it happily…but not with abandon, since I won’t even need much of it to smell great all day. I will confess, the opening was disappointing and I almost gave up on it, but upon development, I understood why this fragrance has a following. First time I wore this fragrance I had just turned 18 and stole a couple spritz from my moms bottle. It will forever remind me the Cote d'Azur; sunshine, stunning scenery, chic bars and restaurants to be seen in. I can't pinpoint any particular notes in this one cause there's plenty but I can't say for sure it smells fantastic, sofisticated, expensive and its a definite head turner.
