I love your characters, I love your books and you are my favourite author ever, you are so nice and inspiring and I am so so very very thankful that you wrote this series, it brought me happiness in some of the saddest and hardest of moments! I like the fact that Hazel had to get on her tiptoes to kiss Alexander and love the fact Daisy and Amina got together . well it said in the story that Daisy still being alive has to be kept a secret because she could work undercover with nobody suspecting her to be alive. I think that it would have been a more fitting ending because it would give Hazel a chance to come into her own properly – she was always in Daisy’s shadow. I am also so glad that May in in the books and that she is the start of Ministry of Unladylike Activity, I love her so much and she reminds me so much of my little sister!

The Case of the Drowned Pearl by Robin Stevens | Goodreads

I really should read the series from the start and not drop in and out of it as I always enjoy myself when I read Daisy and Hazel. Don't get me wrong, Daisy is amazing but she needs to learn to be a bit less I I I I and be a bit more acceptable about things. I think the fact that even though it’s set in the past but there are still not all British girls who like boys is really important. That means only one thing … some of you will have FINISHED the book, and if you have I’d love to hear what you thought of it! I think just seeing how beautiful it was, then seeing my name and detective society forever in the front made me smile. When she was twelve, her father handed her a copy of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and she realised that she wanted to be either Hercule Poirot or Agatha Christie when she grew up. It is fun to get two very different but at the same time very similar personalities coming across when you are reading. I had finished DSS by the end of the day, I almost cried when Hazel had crossed out “vice” at the beginning, and it was a really emotional first chapter, The murder itself was absolutely thrilling, and I just couldn’t work it out! Featuring four original, never-before published stories, this incredible collection brings together Daisy Wells, Hazel Wong and their friends Alexander and George, as well as Hazel's sisters, Rose and May Wong.

Title reveal - the second Ministry book will be called The

Two young would-be detectives, Hazel Wong and Daisy Wells, form a Detective Society and find themselves investigating a variety of crimes in a variety of locations. Thank you robin Stevens for writing such an amazing series it was a pleasure reading the series and I felt like hazel and daisy have been my best friends all my life! Hi Robin Stevens I just saw this spoiler post (my cousin actually sent me a link to it 🙏) and I thought – WOW i need comment on this! It appears she has accidentally drowned in the sea – but it’s odd that this should happen to such a strong swimmer. I was mortified at the idea of Daisy dying (and relieved that you pulled out of that one right at the end!

It’s just not plausible and doesn’t fit in with the other books, which have a familiar formula to them.

The Case of the Drowned Pearl: World Book Day 2020 (A Murder

I know that you said that this would be the last MMU book but this one was left on the biggest cliffhanger of them all. Hazel and Daisy telling each other they're best friends and they wouldn't believe it if someone told them the other was dead. But danger has a nasty habit of catching up with the Detective Society, and it soon becomes clear that there is trouble afoot at the Rue. Rushing back to their elegant hotel, Daisy and Hazel discover three suspicious guests who all had reason to murder Antonia . It was a nice, short, easy read and it was great getting to see a murder investigated from a new angle, with the chapters alternating between Daisy and Hazel’s perspectives.I think I especially liked this one because I really enjoyed the Hercule Poirot Death On The Nile, though of course, Death Sets Sail is SO MUCH BETTER! I also really like Lavina and George together especially as she said that she liked the look of him in Top Marks for murder.
