Description

Both have a very cool retro feel about their design, they are quite simple in design but it all comes together well to make a very cool set.

It is quite a simplistic set, there is not much printed detail and Supergirls hair does look a bit odd but of course, the big S tells us all we need to know. It is the simplicity of the figure that makes him and the printed details really bring the likeness. The problem is, is buying just one StormTrooper enough? Don’t you need an army? The overall design here was brilliant. LEGO used several printed pieces to complete the design of the helmet which would, otherwise, be looking odd and unfinished. The color scheme was great and included a custom blaster design. The Child, Baby Yoda, Grogu, disappoints a little. He comes in his hover pop but that only serves to make him seem too big against Mando. The Mandalorian bounty hunter is constructed like no other: a myriad of interesting SNOT techniques are used to create vertical stripes and fractional plate offsets which makes it a satisfying and educational build. The torso printing is simple as you cannot expect much from a Stormtrooper but it is effective and the figure also includes a custom blaster. As a whole, I hope LEGO releases more figures of military characters like this one and maybe, I would then consider building an army of those. The figure includes a bunch of neat printed pieces that recreate the smaller details of the costume and a cool triangular ventilation piece on the head (if that is what you call it). The helmet piece could benefit from some improvements in terms of shape but I believe they did a good job in the overall recreation of this part. Well, here we have a weird one but what can you expect from a LEGO buildable figure of a furry character. I understand how hard it would be to find that perfect solution for adding a furry effect and thus, I always close my eyes on this side of the Chewbacca figure. Captain Phasma is by far one of the characters with wasted potential and does not rank at the top of the fan-favorite villains. Besides that, there are significant problems with the design that simply make this a fairly bad buildable figure.

Now, over to CapnRex101 for a comparison with the figure from 41498 Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite... I hope you have found this review informative. Let us know by liking this article and share your thoughts on the set in the comments below.Finn is frankly just a bit meh! He is just a bit basic he almost looks like a bad prototype that was never meant to have been released. LEGO did an outstanding job with this piece and included lovely details. From the printed side pieces to the closed eyes of Han Solo (as it is in the movie), it is an absolute beauty. Just remember to make sure you ask all those important questions that need asking before you buy Nonnie.

There is considerable variation between 41629 Boba Fett and its predecessor, particularly in the design of their helmets. The 2018 model features printed elements on either side of the visor while the version from New York Comic-Con includes some 2x2 wedge plates which are fitted using hinges. I prefer the updated design but also appreciate that the earlier figure was less reliant upon printed pieces. LEGO previously released The New York Comic-Con 2017 Exclusive Set that bundled a slightly different Boba Fett figure with a Han Solo in Carbonite figure. 12. Princess Leia Organa 41628Captain Phasma goes for up to four times her original retail price which is not a bad return on your investment if you snapped her up when she was first released. As for the Sith Trooper, it does look amazing but slightly bulkier than I would like it to be. As a whole, the helmet does not closely resemble the actual character and it gives me those Captain Phasma vibes that I do not want in my head. Nevertheless, I absolutely love the colors they used and to me, they make up for the issues and make the figure look unique. As for Baby Yoda or the Child, it comes with the hover pod we saw in the first episodes which is a nice addition with good design. While you cannot expect much design-wise from this character, LEGO nailed the shaping and completed it with those cute ears that you see on the picture.

The 41608 Han Solo is one of those figures that leave you with mixed emotions as it has both great and terrible features. If we look at the Stormtrooper, Captain Phasma, and the Sith Trooper and draw a comparison with the Stormtrooper being top-notch and Phasma being a huge disappointment then the Sith Trooper is somewhere in the middle. Overall, the only issue I could think of with this figure is that it was slightly bulkier than I would imagine it but that does not matter when you put it next to the amazing design and execution. Later on, you will see the second Boba Fett release which does look sleeker than this original version but honestly, this set is just unique for other reasons. Yes, the Boba Fett is great here but the focal point here is the Han Solo in Carbonite.

41498 Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite

Next up, we have Darth Vader which I thought to be quite odd at the beginning but with time, it grew on me and I absolutely love it now.
