Create Your Own Hero: Infinite himself would inevitability create someone who would oppose him — the future Rookie of the Resistance, who would go on to be the key player in stopping Infinite once and for all. In addition to the regular edition, a deluxe edition of Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia was published. This special version includes: Pride. Infinite is undeniably powerful and dangerous, but he's so caught up in his own power and superiority that he never considers the possibility that he can lose. This pride causes him to make some careless errors, such as letting Sonic live when he could've easily finished him off. This is partly what makes his boss fights so satisfying, as you get to show Infinite the hard way that he's not as invincible as he thinks. In the " Team Rose" section, despite Chao being genderless, Chocola is referred to as Cheese's brother. This is consistent with the game, though.

Who's Laughing Now?: His main ambition for utilizing the Phantom Ruby. Rather expectedly, Shadow, the one who started his embitterment, is the first person he personally toys with before starting about capturing Sonic. This Cannot Be!: His normally unshakable demeanor has faltered on two occasions, the first being when the Avatar manages to survive Infinite's illusion during his fight with them, and the second being when he's defeated for the final time.It is stated that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games did not feature Dream Events. In reality, the game did feature Dream Events, although they were not set in either the Sonic or Super Mario universes. Colour-Coded Timestop: While not exactly a time-stop, his teleportation produces the same effect as the Phantom Ruby. This is not a coincidence.

And I Must Scream: Never outright confirmed, but strongly implied by the "Sonic Encyclo-speed-ia" to be his ultimate fate — "consumed" by the Phantom Ruby alongside the prototype Ruby. It largely depends on whether or not he's still alive and conscious in there. The entry states that Sir Lancelot comments on the similarity of the Red Dragon with the Biolizard. This is wrong, as Sonic is the one who comments on the resemblance with him recalling the events of Sonic Adventure 2, and illogical as Lancelot has no in-universe reason to know the Biolizard. Deal with the Devil: Issue Four: Rise of Infinite reveals exactly who Infinite once was: he was the leader of a band of thieves before Eggman offered him and his band the chance to work for him, having been given a glimpse of Infinite's own secret desires and tempted him with the chance to see them realized. And true to the trope, Infinite finds out too late he was on the losing end when Eggman decides he's screwed up one time too many and shows Infinite he was just a disposable pawn the entire time. The Starscream: Subverted. While Infinite does disagree with Eggman at times, he remains loyal (or at least subservient) to him to the end. However, given that Eggman had full control of the Phantom Ruby and could recall it at any time, it's likely that Infinite wouldn't have had a say in the matter.

Apocalypse How: He nearly pulls off a Class 6 when he tries to erase the resistance by dropping a construct of the sun onto them. Seven Deadly Sins: Fitting his role as a Classic Villain and Hate Sink, Infinite embodies all the cardinal sins throughout the game:
