The next morning, with Amos out of commission, Clementine and Ricca go to take a portable generator to the lift, however the bridge to take them to the lift is broken. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. But you know, Kirkman, of the gazillion volume Walking Dead, would have no problem with epic-length story here, of course. We learn there is some kind of tragic backstory with the twins, and one of them goes on the do some horrible shit. Miss Morro tells them she examines each body, no matter how degraded, note their features, cause of death, location found, assign them a number, and then bury them in a corresponding grave.

She is not ready to start speaking to her father again, because she's still mad at him for eating meat. Despite saying she's coming around to it, Clementine is afraid on missing out on what else it out there. She is overall a good friend and has performed great acts of kindness on Clementine's behalf before in the past.Clementine, Book One is a dismal comic that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, least of all Walking Dead fans - if anything, this book will give you a new appreciation for even the worst books in Kirkman’s run, which were never as mind-numbingly dull as this. Walden does well by capturing this narrative in her signature style, both in terms of character-driven storytelling and her mesmerizing art. The overall story of this first instalment is told well and I found myself invested in its new character and story beats.

It kinda seems like it may go this route at first, but it gets muddled and ends up not, which just sucks. Things I mostly didn't like: I don't think we spent enough time with the other characters to know them properly. Clementine leaves saying she knows this world better than Morro ever will and that she'll deal with the dead herself. Clementine tells them that she's lucky to be here, to have found them, this island, and the mountain. Back in the real world, Clementine's unconscious body is swept up by the tides and she starts going under.A fairly mild bit of zombie horror spun off from Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead, this graphic novel is actually a sequel to a series of Telltale video games (that I haven't seen) where the Clementine character first appeared. The story falls flat as well, and every other review on here sums up why better than I could, but the summary should be a big hint. Clementine goes to sleep in the back with the family, until the father attempts to assault Clementine in her sleep.

Like the other cool concepts, it's thrown in there to be immediately brushed past for the next thing. Powerhouse creator TILLIE WALDEN takes on the world of ROBERT KIRKMAN’s THE WALKING DEAD in the most anticipated YA graphic novel of 2022.

They duck down until they're gone, but then Clementine comes down with a fever, though she insists that she can keep going. I mean, if the zombies are that easy to get rid of and serve zero purpose, they may as well not be there. Two stars, I say, but a star to Walden for risk-taking and trying something different, being pretty ambitious. Amos tells her that Helen, his horse, seems to like Clementine a lot and asks her to drive the buggy. I don’t know if I was just in a funk or did this book make me depressed and I had to find the will to continue.
