Description

The GH5 II gains a few improvements over the original Panasonic GH5 but has been launched at a price consistent with the first GH5's street price, so the Mark II is the obvious choice between the two. So, for stills photographers, the lower resolution does at least come with the promise of improved all-round image quality. For videographers, this Dual Native ISO feature is designed to appease those reluctant to accept the Micro Four Thirds format and its perceived weakness at high ISO settings – and this seems like a good time to take a closer look at this camera’s video features, and what makes them so special. Panasonic GH5S video features If the camera has not completed image transmission when it is turned off, it restarts transmission when it is turned on with the [Auto Transfer] function.

The addition of 6K Photo allows you to capture 18-megapixel and 8-megapixel JPEG images at 30fps and 60fps respectively, so you won’t miss a moment. The GH5 II relies on Panasonic's DFD autofocus system. It's built around contrast detection, a different approach than the hybrid phase-contrast system used by most rivals, including Olympus' top Micro Four Thirds models, the E-M1 Mark III and E-M1X. Olympus M.Zuiko 100-400mm, 400mm, f/7.1, 1/320-second, ISO 200 for external microphone/Stereo/Lens Auto/Shotgun/Super Shotgun/Manual is selectable when attaching DMW-MS2 (sold separately). Intelligent DFD Autofocus

The GH5 is user-friendly and excels when it comes to design. It has a slightly large build with fine grip design and weighs 660g. The Panasonic team really went all out with this one. There's a similarly subtle change to the viewfinder. It's still a 3.68M dot OLED display and is mounted behind the same optics, so still offers 0.76X magnification. However, the increased speed of the camera allows it to be refreshed at up to 120Hz, for a smoother, more responsive view. Menus and displays
