Wild Blonde (ABV 4.4%) (spring and summer) - A golden coloured beer that is seriously refreshing. The light beer is overflowing with fruit in the palette; Styrian and Goldings hops are unmistakable in its distinctive fruity aroma Since then, Devon Dumpling and Topsail have been added to the portfolio, and some of the original brews have become adapted into seasonal ales. Harvesters Ale (ABV 5.5%) (available in September) - A full-flavoured, malty amber ale, made with superior Maris Otter malt Also making it onto our list of the best Devon breweries is Powderkeg. The people at this brewery in Devon are passionate about what they do and aren’t afraid to show it. Their love of beer encourages a more modern, hands-on approach to the traditional brewing process – essentially making each bottle individually.

Hunter's Premium (ABV 4.8%)The first beer brewed by Hunter's it features a lovely malty flavour hopped with Goldings, a typically English hop. And the following Beer festivals: Ipple Tipple, Abbfest and South Devon CAMRA Sunshine Beer & Cider Festival, Teignmouth Ink 5.2% Somewhere between a chocolate malted porter and a dark mild there are flavours of cocoa, coffee and liquorice with burnt toffee notes. Bays Brewery began in March 2007 when Will Freeland, Mark Salmon and Peter Salmon joined forces and signed a lease on an old 5000 square foot steel fabrication unit in Paignton. The transformation began towards the end of March and by the middle of June, after some considerable construction and installation works, it was running its first brew through the 20 barrel brew plant. The first two brews, Best and Gold, were successfully launched into local pubs simultaneously in the first week in July. Crafty Lager (ABV 4.5%) - Classic meets craft. Sherman (ABV 6.4%) An American Pale Ale, overflowing with a combination of American hops, this fruity beer raises a glass to all our locals and the Gi’s that participated in Operation Tiger. The brewery was renamed Dartmoor Brewery in May 2008. In 2010 three new 14,000-litre fermenting vessels were added to further increase capacity to cope with ever-growing demand. It is claimed to be the highest brewery in England at 1400 feet above sea level.

Dark Ness (ABV 4.5%) - Malt and barley conbine with a blend of hops to produce a mouth filling smooth, award winning dark beerThis new brewery started life in a garage during 2018, to brew a range of craft beers. They moved into Grade-I* listed Melville Building, Royal William Yard, in early 2020. They brew four core beers - Mantra, Plymouth, Bombshell and Breakwater - and lots of one-off beers and IPAs, which will rotate in the Steel Brew Co Taproom. One cask ale - an American wheat beer - and three "craft" beers were available at the first Mayflower 400 event, in November 2019. Sadly, the company ceased trading on Thursday 25 August 2022 - we wish them all the best for the future.
