The book is written in third pov and there were less narrations and more dialogues which made it a very easy read. The resolution of the entire mystery is over the top and wild, which isn’t a deal breaker for me, but here it felt as if the author was attempting to reach a more adult audience while writing a YA novel, and it just clashed.

I also loved how fast paced this is, because I really wanted a book that was fast and quick, which this was, though it was a little confusing at times, like with some of the plot twists I had to really think about what was happening.he seemed to care about her beyond the mafia stuff- he didn't have to do some of the things he did to "gain her trust". Five Survive is a stand out amongst YA thrillers, coming at you full force with the grit and stakes of an adult thriller whilst simultaneously catering to its teen audience with scary realism.

Fans of Jackson's A Good Girl's Guide to Murder series won't be disappointed in Five Survive and its never-saw-that-coming ending.
