Turning requires extra care to keep myself from losing my balance due to the additional, often uneven load — my anxiety heightened above the usual on city streets. It’s still a bit more of a pain to use than simply strapping a backpack to your back and riding, but it’s nice not having the weight on your back and allows you to carry larger items than normal. Why, because I found out that they are by my opinion better designed than the 2020 version’s accessories.

The lesson you need to learn from my experience is the cost of the trailer alone is not the full cost. If you drop three bunches of carrots in the bag, they fall right to the bottom and once the trailer is tilted back to be pulled, they often shift and rest on the edges of the wheels. Their bulkiness makes them a pain to maneuver through a hallway, and makes them more unwieldly navigating among congested traffic. Naturally, I didn’t try to bang it up much more than I’d test a bike wheel, but for anything I was confident riding over, the trailer held up. After my arrival it seemed like the Burley strap has loosened a little and the box was able to bounce around a little. The ultra-packable design does add some points back to the overall versatility score, as we found getting this trailer in and out of our house was quick and easy. Out of the box, we thought this dainty little trailer wouldn't have what it takes to see regular use.
