Description

The Latitude E5530 has the most popular between notebooks a 15 inch screen size. This device provides enough space for entertainment and is great for performing any kind of work tasks. However the laptop's dimensions have become bigger that's why it is not very convenient for travelling. The image quality is not very sharp. The laptop has a comfortable 1366x768 screen resolution. Protect data on hard drives and removable media across your network through encryption and strong authentication. The standard array of ports once again makes a return on the E5530, though the Firewire port is conspicuously absent. Most users likely will not miss it, however, thanks to the upgrade of two existing ports to USB 3.0from 2.0. One of the USB 3.0 ports also shares eSATA functionality, and the remaining two USB 2.0 ports are still present, as well. a b Motherboard supports 1 GB SODIMMs (unavailable at time of laptop release, regular configuration is 2x215 MB) Latest Dell Latitude Notebooks Respond to Business Demand for Excellent Mobility Experience". The practical design philosophy extends to the base unit of the notebook, where, despite a predominantly plastic construction, solidity and stability are the rule. The palm rest feels impressively firm, holding up nicely under significant pressure. The keyboard, while certainly sturdier than most consumer fare, does still experience a bit of flex, mostly on the right-hand side near the number pad, almost certainly thanks to the optical drive bay located directly underneath it. The material wrapping the notebook’s corners is entirely plastic as well (on the E6530, by comparison, it is magnesium alloy), and while it is very similar in appearance to that of the E6530, it’s not 100 percent flawlessin terms of fit and finish; there is one particular corner on our review unit that is noticeably separated from the rest of the base unit. In contrast, the hinges are made of steel, though it may not be immediately evident thanks to the decorative plastic sheathing covering them—and the display is well-supported by them, wobbling very little under most circumstances. Finally, the zinc-plated latching mechanism confidently secures the lid to the base and is easy to open. Dell Latitude 3180 Owner's Manual" (PDF). Dell Inc. The integrated HD Graphics 4000 consistently posts results which are notably higher than its HD Graphics 3000 predecessor. However, some of this variation is most certainly a result of driver improvements to HD Graphics 3000 over time, so it’s difficult to say with certainty just how much faster the 4000 GPU will perform in every situation. Still, our results indicate that the i5-3360’s integrated GPU is nearly always faster than even the highest recorded scores for HD 3000. This leaves very little doubt that moving from a Sandy Bridge to an Ivy Bridge chipset will improve your graphical performance. Overall, the growing body of results we’ve received from our benchmarks seems to indicate performance somewhere in the realm of the Radeon HD 6470M and GeForce 520M.

The ThinkPad T530, which also has a 7,200-rpm drive, loaded the same OS in a zippy 32 seconds. In our File Transfer Test, the Latitude E5530 transferred our 4.97GB test folder (made up of music, photos and videos) in 3 minutes and 6 seconds for a 27.4 MBps transfer rate. That's significantly behind both the 36MBps category average as well as the ThinkPad T530's mark of 37 MBps.First look: Dell's Latitude Z laptop goes for the high end". 29 September 2009. The models are the D4x0 (12.1" Ultra Mobile), D5x0 (14.1 or 15.0" standard aspect screen except for D531, plastic case, value model), D6x0 (14.1" Corporate model) and D8x0 (15.4" high-resolution model) most models are based on the Intel Core 2 Duo and the Intel Santa Rosa chipset, with the exception being the D531. Ever since the D420, D620, and D800, the D-series features wide-aspect LCD screens: 12.1", 14.1", and 15.4" respectively. Dell used the "E-series" name up through the 2016 models, and new 2017 models drop the "E." [2] [3] and Dell E-Port Replicator with it. As of February 2017. Latitude computers are available in three series: the 3000, 5000, and 7000. The 3000 series is designed to be entry-level aimed at the education market and small businesses, This series did not exist prior to Haswell (xx40) as the Vostro Series was consolidated into the Latitude lineup to form the 3000 series. The 5000 series is mid-range. It includes a high-performance subseries whose model designations end in 1. These devices are available with higher-TDP (45w) processors, discrete graphics and NVMe SSDs. The 6000 series sat above the 5000 series. The 7000 series consists of high-end Ultrabook computers, introduced in 2014 with the Latitude E7440 and E7240 and replaced the existing high end 6000 series. Mobile workstation versions of Latitude used 5000 series instead of 6000 series.

From hardware such as Dell™ KACE™ appliances to software management solutions such as System Center Configuration Manager, we’ve made it easier than ever to manage large fleets of Latitude™ laptops. For starters, the brushed aluminum display lidmakes a return, which feels well-made and exhibits very little flex under pressure. Some LCD distortion is detectable under considerable stress, but a good deal of impact on the lid would be required to damage the LCD. Should a broken LCD panel ever result, the bezel is convenient to remove, secured only by a series of plastic tabs surrounding the panel. The lid is also easy to clean and attractive, resisting fingerprints fairly well. As usual, a silver Dell logo inhabits the central point of the lid, representing a sole ostentatious statement amongst an otherwise appropriately subtle exterior.Latitude 3xxx series. This effectively stresses both the CPU and GPU to their maximum levels for an extended period of time, thus testing the capabilities of the cooling system and revealing any hint of throttling as a result of heat.

The GPU’s performance was even less convincing, as it often wavered below the maximumTurbo Boost frequency of 1200 MHz to values closer to 1000 MHz. On very rare occasions, the GPU’s frequency dipped as far as 350 MHz, but this only occurred for a split second. It differed most significantly in being based on the newer " Santa Rosa" ( GM/PM965) mobile chipset which supported the 800MT/s models of the mobile Core 2 Duo (both the Merom 7xx0 series and later the Penryn-based 8x00/9x00 series). It also had newer versions of the graphics processor options, support for Intel's "Turbo Memory" flash cache (although this uses the same card slot as the mobile broadband card), and support for internal Wireless-N. It also [optionally?] added a 4-pin Firewire IEEE 1394 port. [ citation needed] It uses DDR2 memory and is compatible with PC2-5300 (667MHz) and PC2-6400 (800MHz) memory. The D630 unofficially will accept a maximum of 8GB of physical memory, however, a BIOS update is required.
