I don’t recommend the Hozelock or XHose products at all, but TheFitLife’s expandable hose appeared far better, and I was impressed with the brass quick-release fittings, the extra padding on the sleeve and the spray gun. The Hozelock Superhoze comes with the usual plastic fittings that most gardeners have come across before or already own. The woven-fabric outer layer makes it lightweight as well as kink and tangle-free, which ensures there’s a continuous water flow and that it’s easy to manoeuvre around the garden. He previously worked as a project manager and has experience in managing teams of tradespeople and landscape gardeners on both small and medium sized projects. But if you’ve ever used this cheap nozzle before, you’ll know that when opened slightly, it sprays wide and all over the place.

Flexi Hose came with an inline tap so I could adjust the flow rate, this stopped the pipe from shrinking. Despite having low water pressure, the Superhoze then proceeded to burst and leak everywhere with a bulge evident in the middle of the pipe. It did have an inline tap to adjust the flow rate and didn’t leak, but I felt it was too similar to the Hozelock Superhoze. My old hosepipe started kinking recently, and as I have limited space in my garden, I selected the expandable Hozelock Superhoze to replace it.This could be an issue for you if you plan on attaching different hoses to the tap (pressure washer, sprinkler etc). I disliked the colour, and as it doesn’t come with a reel, I’ll have to look at it draped over the tap whenever I’m in the garden. No more heavy hosepipes to pull around that seem to tangle and kink on everything it comes into contact with .

Like a lot of people, I have low water pressure at my property and it took over a minute for the expandable pipe to reach its full length. I doubt that all expandable hosepipes would fail this quickly, and as Hozelock are a reputable brand, it could just be a case of bad luck. An absolute must for anyone like myself , an OAP living alone and suffering with Rheumatoid Arthritis . The dynamic design of the Hozelock superhoze enables it to expand up to three times its original length for easy reach and then shrink back in size after use for convenient storage.
