There is no shortage of people who you will find physically beautiful but finding someone who matches the maturity you are looking, for the dedication to grow, the humour that brings you comfort and who feels just right in your arms and life is incredibly unique.” An enlightening, cathartic book providing accessible insight into personal healing and positive change. Seyfried’s history of fire-making methods is a profound work, providing a huge amount of information. German reading skills are absolutely required. However, this is not a bunch of separate sayings, but still beautiful in its own regard as he gets to expand on the short little message I see online. Yung pueblo speaks about his own life experiences while writing about the process of healing and how to accomplish that. What I found unique about this book is that it not only talks about healing yourself, but how to improve the world too with structural compassion. He writes that one of the best things you can do to better the world is to simply heal yourself. I thought that was a lovely reminder to stay committed to your healing journey and not get too overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done to make the world a better place.

I also find it unrealistic in a story that everyone is unhappy, unfaithful, loves another, doesn’t love the one they’re with, loves the one they’re with but they love another, grieving for a loved one… literally everyone was unhappy. Also the culmination saw three people considering murder at the same time, is that likely? I also felt the end, not only with its supernatural element seemed unlikely, surely they would have hit the base of the lighthouse rather than the sea? It was also unrealistic that blood and a struggle could have been totally cleaned up, forensics would have found evidence. How sad the only planted evidence they found pointed to the innocent person. Twenty years later a best selling author wants to solve the mystery. He talks to the women left behind and we hear from the men themselves. All hold different parts of the story, things the know, that need to be put together. We also, and I enjoyed this, learn about how the men lived, worked, the setup of their living spaces. This book appealed to me because I LOVE atmospheric stories, and a bit of Supernatural. The mystery of what might have occurred was intriguing. The Bengali Swiss automatic lighter (1929 - 1939) was to lighters what Bentley was to cars in the 1930s: intelligent engineering, outstanding quality of materials, meticulous assembly and brilliant design. The highly confidential production run of around 5,000 units lasted 10 years and was halted by the outbreak of the Second World War. The Bengali lighter, a first cousin of the Thorens lighter, has become an iconic object, thanks to its rarity, purity and craftsmanship. Collectors the world over aspire to own one. This highly detailed and refined book, which is available in a signed and limited numbered edition, will tell you all about the eventful Bengali history, its creators and the Swiss workshop where it was born. In all my years I’ve realised there are two kinds of people. The ones who hear a creak in a dark, lonely house, and shut the windows because it must have been the wind. And the ones who hear a creak in a dark, lonely house, light a candle, and go to take a look.”

Lighter is the story of one man and of all of us as we seek to becoming lighter, to walk through our lives freely, unencumbered by the weight of the past or the future. It is as inspirational as it is a practical guide.” —Mark Hyman, MD, New York Times bestselling author of The Pegan Diet During the years when I had abandoned myself, my mind felt undeniably heavy. I knew I needed to find a clear way to help me feel lighter." The wives who should’ve have bonded together over this incident are estranged and only one is talking.

William “Bill” Walker is Assistant Keeper. He’s younger, has small children at home, and doesn’t seem to be ‘in love’ with his wife, Jenny. Jenny is emotionally needy but also supportive of her husband. After twenty years, Jenny thinks that Bill may still come home. Character oriented, this is an atmospheric undertaking, a slow, quiet mystery. For me it was an immersive read. A real story of missing keepers from the 1900s in Scotland from the Flannan Island lighthouse was the impetus for this story. Bardzo wiele cytatów sobie pozaznaczalam, jedynie końcówka mnie nie interesowała tzn dwa ostatnie rozdziały, a tak… ksiazka na pewno bardzo ważna i potrzebna. ❤️
