Anne: I’ve got a hankering to read a book (or three) where the couple initially hate each other before working through whatever problems/misunderstanding they have to reach their HEA. Hopefully lots of angst and plenty of passion thrown in for good measure! A bad boy / alpha / biker wouldn’t go amiss either! I’ve read a few books that fit the brief, but Bully stands out as a favourite. Any suggestions would be welcome, and, dare I say it, maybe a top 10

While this was my second book by this author I believe it was the first one they ever wrote. And it definitely shows. If anything I am incredibly impressed in how their caliber of writing has changed over a 3 year span but this book had a lot of bad NA tropes. Namely, the attitude of Tate towards other females in the book. She becomes incredibly possessive of a guy she's not with and tears down her friend because of it. AND!!!!! She beats up another female out of jealous Anna: Dare Series by Shantel Tessier. The h hides behind a tree and watches a group of boys murder someone. She tries to be sneaky but they catch her! The first two books are with the same h and H. I couldn’t put these books down! I’m reading Blood and Roses and Zeth is quite bullyish. Not sure though if that will change. Great read so far!!!!” Well, not too long. In fact, there’s a killer on the loose and he (or she) is not happy about a girl enrolled at Adamson All-Boys Academy. Plus, add in some suspicious members of the student council–Church, Ranger, Spencer, Micah, and Tobias–and she has herself one hectic semester ahead.

Marjorie Baumgarten of The Austin Chronicle said, "The film's naked plenitude (and pulchritude) casts suspicion on Clark's ulterior reasons for making the movie -- especially in light of the fact that Bully doesn't seem to have an overall point of view that it's trying to push. There are no heroes or victims, and everyone is at least a minor villain. Clark's film is disturbing not only for what it shows, but how it shows it. If it weren't so rivetingly realistic, it would be an easy film to dismiss. And if it weren't so easily dismissible, it would be an easy film to defend." He was originally sentenced to seven years' imprisonment on May 12, 1995, but received four extra years for trying to lie on the witness stand. Released October 1, 1999. [8] Mharis: Maryse! Ohmigosh. Wanna know something crazy? You know the guess on my ask? The Filthy Boys? I finished it and I just finished book 2 now. What the hell right? I was supposed to be working. Haha Just thought to share 🙂 There was a time when I had all of his attention and loved it. As much as I wanted him to leave me alone, I also liked how he seemed surprised. I liked the way he was looking at me right now. And then I remembered that I hated him.”

Misha Lare and Ryen Trevarrow have been pen-pals since fifth grade for a school project when their teachers paired them together, mistakenly assuming they were the same gender. They have kept in touch ever since and have gone on to become best friends despite never meeting in person. That all changes in high school when Misha suddenly goes radio silent. Just when you thought the guys got to escape Tate's judgement because of their penises, she casts a withering glance over them and their stupid ways. Honestly, she is the most annoying character ever. "The girls had no other interests beside shopping and makeup and the guys here gave me the urge to sanitize my eyeballs after seeing the way they looked at me." For godsake, Ms Precious, go sanitize your eyeballs somewhere we don't have to hear you whining, here you go, use this acid. Bully Me by C.E. Stark weather <— I just found this one…“ Slightly chubby and awkward, she tries her hardest to be invisible. But one boy makes that impossible. Shane Ellery is tall, muscular and handsome. And there is nothing he loves more than teasing Kaine. When a cruel twist of fate brings them together, it’s the worst day of Kaine’s life.“

Prolific middle-grade author Korman steps into a bully’s shoes in this book. When Chase wakes up with a bump on his head and no memory of what he was like before his fall, he has to relearn who he was—and he’s not sure he likes what he discovers. Can he be a better person with this second chance? This book will make you see where bullies come from and show you how a perfectly sweet and loving person can be shaped into a tormentor. Tessa: Alright, Boys of Brayshaw was AWESOME! I have to wait for spring for the next book, but OMG. It’s everything i love in a NA. Bullies, great secondary characters, and the familial feelings. (so right about the Fallen Crest type) SQUEEEE! Tessa: OMG. I started reading Boys of Brayshaw High last night and am loving it so much I was gonna jump on here and tell y’all to read it! I haven’t gotten to more FC yet, but total bully book. But if it comes out also FC like? *squeeees* I can see that happening because Raven is awesome and well, so far the boys are jerks. Lol The DUFF: (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) by Kody Keplinger <— Sara recommends this one too! Tessa does too saying: A part of me couldn't help but try to rationalize or at least understand what was going on inside his head because the more I read, the more it was clear that his actions were not just straight up meanness. There was something more behind it. Misguided and wrong perhaps but I could sense something... 'good' in him maybe? Although at first I wondered if maybe that was just my natural desire to redeem the hero of my book... needless to say, it stirred up a lot of questions and kept me totally hooked and curious to see where the story would go next.

All in all, I'm glad I read this book. If you enjoy the Young Adult/New Adult genre then you will more than likely LOVE this story. Considering the characters were in high school, I would classify this book Young Adult. Definitely a mature Young Adult, as it was fairly steamy. When Jared was fourteen, his father called and asked if Jared could come and visit him for the summer. Happily, Jared agreed and left for eight weeks. After that visit, though, he returned cold and cruel." We hope this list can help you navigate the problem of bullying. But if needed, please don’t hesitate to report to the proper authorities, or if your child is undergoing depression, to get the help of a certified professional. Zsadist! Let her go!” Another male, this one with a long head of hair, jogged across the vast floor. “Let her go, Z.”

This book also had a lot of deeper issues going on as well. When someone is bullied, how far do they get pushed before they retaliate? And, by doing so, are they not themselves just perpetuating the cycle by becoming a bully themselves? Or is it self-defense? Is it justified? Understandable? Necessary? Completely wrong? Where were the lines drawn?
