Liquid sheep fat is composed of sheep fat, salmon oil (omega 3 and 6) and sunflower oil. The salmon oil is cold-pressed from fresh salmon and contains omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and has optimal EPA/DHA values. Sunflower oil contains a high amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids, omega 6 fatty acids and vitamin E. Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that protects the cells, cell wall, blood stream and tissue and also regulates the metabolism within the cell. Studies on the porcine intramuscular fat show that the LKB1/CaMK2-AMPK-ACC1-CPT1A axis dominated the activity of AMPK signaling pathway.
