Cairngorms National Park near Aviemore is one of the UK’s must visit destinations (Picture: Getty Images) Why I Climb” — an article by a climber who has climbed over 300,000 vertical feet, 90,000 on Everest expeditions alone For many walkers, the Pyrenees have always had a kind of magnetic pull. The allure of the Camino de Santiago has enticed countless hikers from all over the world, but there is much more to this region than just its famous pilgrimage. A popular tourist attraction (but something our local experts would recommend nevertheless) is to try the local delicacy of food that has been cooked underground using the natural heat being pumped from the Earth’s mantle. If this isn’t for you, there are plenty of restaurants serving delicious fresh seafood and oenophiles might want to explore the remarkable UNESCO recognised vineyards chiselled out of the volcano foothills in patchwork terraces. What do you want to achieve in the different areas of your life: Social, Love, Family, Career, Finance, Health (your weight, fitness level), Spiritual?

Once you’ve signed up for LifePoints, you’ll be able to take surveys. For each survey you complete, you get points, also called LifePoints. When you have enough LifePoints, you simply exchange them for over a dozen free gift cards from our list of rewards. MORE : Deliveroo’s top trending dishes of 2023 have been revealed and a fruit has been a surprising hit What is the most memorable thing you can do for someone else? Examples are volunteering somewhere, giving an anonymous donation to someone in need, and helping someone unemployed find a job. The bearded vulture is a recent conservation success story – keep your eyes peeled for a chance to see one wheeling on a thermal, though of course that could also be a vast golden eagle; another species that calls these mountains home. Closer to the ground, iconic Pyrenean chamois scamper up and down near vertical cliffs, by all appearances defying gravity, while bees and rare butterflies flit from flower to flower. Can you think of someone in your life who is in need of help or can benefit from your help? How can you extend your support to him/her? Read: Many of us are often waiting to receive rather than to give. Yet for any relationship to work, there has to be both giving and receiving. If you often find yourself wondering why no one is giving you what you want, how about practicing giving to others first? :) The rest will follow. Volunteer work doesn’t have to be some grandiose act. As long as you are offering a part of yourself pro bono to the world (be it in terms of skills, knowledge, time, effort, or money), you are in fact volunteering. Creating and updating a list of what you hope to see or do keeps us in touch with what we find moving and inspiring. The list keeps us dreaming, motivated, and w orking hard. It helps us stay excited about life and connected with what might fulfill our sense of purpose. Sports are a great way to keep fit! Whether you’re an indoor or outdoor person, there is a sport for everyone. Here are some sports to try out:

If the Azores sound like they’re for you, then don’t hesitate to get in touch with our fantastic local experts who can work with you to put together your perfect holiday.Try the street food in Mexico (or any other country where the street scene seems exotic relative to your day-to-day)

Visit major cultural landmarks like the Eiffel Tower in France, the Taj Mahal in India, the pyramids of Egypt, Petra in Jordan, the Colosseum in Greece, Stonehenge in England, or Christ the Redeemer in Brazil Learning a new language is never easy but it’s so satisfying when you are able to converse with someone in a foreign language! I admire people who are multi-lingual — I’m personally fluent in only English and Mandarin while having functional knowledge of Hokkien, Japanese, and Bahasa Indonesia. I hope to learn a few foreign languages — Spanish being one of them — in the future.

9. Take a bucket list holiday to a traditional Scottish Highland Games

Our local experts are bursting with ideas for what to do whilst visiting their country, but if you’re keen on wildlife then you’ll be delighted to hear that Costa Rica is home to over 500,000 species – that’s nearly 5% of the world’s wildlife all in one tiny country squeezed onto a stretch of land between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific. The idea is simple: dream it up, write it down, and do it. In practice, though, you might find it difficult. After all, self-reflection takes time — an asset that comes at a premium these days. It’s just like planning all the highlights for YOUR life. :D Even though I already set goals by default, I still found many new things to do while writing on my own list. It was an incredibly insightful exercise. What’s more, coming up with my list gave me new-found enthusiasm knowing what I have planned ahead for my life!

We’ve all got a mental tally of our hopes and aspirations. You look anywhere online, and successful businessmen, influencers, gym heroes and athletes will tell you that writing down your goals makes them become a reality.

Make a list of the skills or hobbies that you would like to learn or try: for example, knitting, origami, pottery, yoga. What is your passion? Is it to be an artist? To sing and perform? To be a life coach? To travel? To help other people to grow (same as my passion)? To be the best that you can be? How can you start pursuing it? Let’s face it, travel is awesome, but it also involves a lot of planning and expense. Get specific about the reasons it’s worth pursuing anyway.
