Use of two blocks enables perfect alignment between all the holes - one block is used to hold the mast while the other is stationed for each set of holes. All bit sizes and centre lines are deeply recessed within the body of the block to ensure that they will never wear away over time. The centre lines also ensure accurate alignment, while the non-slip padding holds the DrillBlock in place while preventing both slipping and marring. Requiring no separate guide bushes, each drill bit is guided within the hardened drill block, precision machined to the tightest tolerances to ensure 90° alignment to the workpiece. We could then drill the hole, a counterbore sometimes used a bush to guide a tap if the hole was to be threaded.
