The pre-poo is really your first line of defense in terms of moisture retention. When you pre-poo your hair, you essentially allow a nourishing oil or conditioner to penetrate your hair before you even wash it. When oil and moisture (water) penetrate the cortex, less is stripped in the cleansing process. Simply finger part your hair into 4 sections, and grab a spray bottle with water.
