They'll be able to consult on the suitability of your rooms for electric heating and the best type as well as preparing and insulating your floors and installing the wiring. They'll also be able to draw up a plan for where wiring will go – for example, underfloor heating wires shouldn't go under any permanent fixtures or fittings.

Occasionally, on really cold, un-insulated, floors, customers say they get best results by using an insulating underlay. The mat heater delivers a pleasant radiant warmth from directly below where you are sitting or standing. RugBuddy® Electric Under Rug Heater is an attractive solution for warming cold spots in any room of the home or office and very easy to use. You simply place the heating mat under your area rug and plug it in. No noisy fans, no stirring up dust, and no clutter in your super-organised workspace! Running costs Electric fan or convection heaters try to overcome this problem by forcing heat across the room. This creates another problem: air movement promotes cooling, not heating! But it will typically be more expensive to run than either a water-based underfloor heating system or conventional central heating.
