They say that all speakers sound awful straight out of the box, and although the Br2's didn't sound fantastic at first, what was immediately noticeable was the level of detail from the tweeter which far superceded that of the Mordaunt Short Avant 902i speakers they replaced. Currently, Monitor Audio has more than 300 product models. Monitor Audio has been integrating stereo and surround sound systems and a series of acoustically matched speakers so that it can have super high-quality sound in-home and outdoor surrounds. Because of excellent quality and affordable prices, Monitor Audio’s products have been sold worldwide. Integration of high-end technology, quality as gold The sound quality of the Bronze range is impressive and it comes with the C-CAM gold dome tweeters. The sound played in the upper frequencies stay clear and smooth, avoiding any sound distortion. The Bronze 2 speakers are larger in size and the difference can be noticed with the quality of the sound of the set of speakers. For those familiar with the Bronze 5G, it'll be these speakers' tweeters that first catch the eye. Or, rather, the 'hexagonal dispersion pattern' flush-fit grille in front of them. This both aims to improve the tweeter's dispersive characteristics and protect it from damage. Behind it sits the 1in C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium) 'gold dome' HF unit, now fitted with a UD (Uniform Dispersion) waveguide, which also aims to improve off-axis response and aid time alignment with MA's bass/mid and mid-range drivers.

We're now into the sixth generation of MA's Bronze Series, and there have been quite substantial revisions since the 5G range. These include the positioning of bass reflex ports on the rear, rather than the front of cabinets (but still the distinctive, rifled HiVe II designs), a new 'modern profile' look, where front baffles are a different tone to the rest of the speaker, and, naturally, upgraded drivers. Before you splash out on new speakers and presumably lose a lor of cash selling on the Bronzes, I would invest some cash in your sources. The Monitor Audio Bronze 2 is a speaker that is popular for its excellent sound quality and sleek design. It has a two-way configuration with a 6.5-inch C-CAM cone bass driver and a 1-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter, which deliver a balanced and detailed audio experience. The soundstage is incredibly spacious, with beautiful interaction between the channels. Effects zip around with breathtaking energy while those rear speakers spray sounds into the room and along the walls with authority and warmth. Faultless tonal matching across every speaker guarantees a remarkably unified soundstage. Featuring Monitor Audio’s famous C-CAM Gold Dome tweeters, the sound is every bit as crisp as you’d expect from this premium design. The latest developments add a UD (Uniform Dispersion) waveguide for a more focused and precise sound. Now featuring MA’s signature, hexagonal pattern grille, the tweeters look better than ever, too. This speaker is built with high-quality materials, and comes in a choice of four finishes to suit different preferences and styles. The Bronze 2 has a frequency response of 42 Hz - 30 kHz and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, making it compatible with a wide range of audio systems.

Factoring in this system's design style and agreeable pricing, it becomes hard to fault. The soundscapes created are the kind to have you keenly anticipating movie night. Once that’s settled it was clear that we have a pair of fast and agile sounding speakers. Digging plenty of details across the frequency range is something these do with ease. What’s even more important, all of the instruments and vocals are clearly separated and securely positioned. Sound-stage width is very good, and so is depth if you place Bronze 2 a bit away from the wall and into the empty space. These speakers have a real sense of pace and rhythm too, so listening to something like Violent Femmes – Blister in the Sun is a foot-tapping experience.Big enough to sound special but small enough to fit in, the Monitor Audio Bronze 200 suits the widest range of spaces. Sensitivity90dB of Monitor Audio Bronze 2 is an average sensitivity for stereo speaker so it is neither easy nor difficult to drive Sensitivity wise. Replacing the subwoofer won't help if it is the room or the placement that is causing the problems. You can get anti-modes that are separate equalisers just for subs, or even isolation platforms that might help. I am not an expert on subs, so maybe someone else will come along to advise a bit more on that, or you could ask in the separate subwoofer forums.

Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling for highest quality current transfer through the signal chain Acoustic Panels and Treatments: Your room is as important as your stereo equipment so acoustic treatments goes a long way in improving the overall performance.

Do you have a subwoofer in your system? Great. Then your speakers are small. Before you get all upset, read on. This is one of those audio myths whose time has come to be busted. To understand why, we need to talk about Bass Management.
