To deliver Hi-Fi products that surpass the norm in terms of both Sound Quality and visual intrigue.” – Linsoul Relative to the Zeus, they improve on matters like bass response but may not be overall better due to their odd tonality. The HarmonicDyne Zeus uses parts recycled from other less expensive headphones. It’s fairly heavy and not the most comfortable for extended listening sessions. The build quality is a combination of excellent and just ok. But, the Zeus does sound really good. They have a matte finish on the metallic parts, which is different from the drawings and renders you can find on Linsoul and most shop images. Also, the build quality is much better in reality than it looks like in photos.

But it is especially worth noting the sound stage, which in these headphones is rightfully excellent, it goes beyond the headphones, you can immediately feel it, that is, a very cool effect is created that all the instruments and different sounds are playing around you and not inside you, and the drawing of the images themselves is very clear and detailed and the instruments are not blurred in space and are not lost at all, that is, you can determine what is playing where and from where without problems and you don’t even need to strain for this. We have a slight passive noise isolation, about 5-8 dB, and they don’t leak absolutely everything, so you can listen rather loud without everyone hearing absolutely everything. Everything that’s magic in Zeus Elite is handled by the Daichi CCAW Voice Coil, which is a pairing between a new diaphragm membrane with an ultralight premium voice coil from Japan, making the driver movement lighter, snappier and faster. The magnets are stronger, which helps with the agility of the sound in Zeus Elite. The Zeus are much warmer sounding than the HD650, which sound less engaging (at least when powered by solid-state amplification). The Zeus bass goes deeper, with far more visceral slam. The boosted bass response of the Zeus (purple) is easily seen above the much flatter response of the Sennheiser HD650 (green). Midrange.: This is the honey pot. This is the end of the rainbow regarding this Gear. This is a mids dominated sonic treat. This is what you want in your Arya, and your HD800, but you didnt get it, and those are fine products. But THIS is a : "sounds like a British company made it"....Its almost too harmonically complex, actually. Well, now friends, let's talk about the sound of these headphones, and I used the Topping G5 DAC when listening to them. Treble lovers and those looking for extreme precision aren’t likely to find their perfect headphones here. But let’s be honest, those people probably stopped reading at “warm”. The Zeus’ high end has just enough bite to keep things lively without ever sounding glary or harsh. Soundstage On the positive side, the headband has many adjustment positions and is well padded and comfortable to wear. Paired with what appear to be the same soft, deep, “nanometer suede” ear pads that debuted on the Zeus, the Poseidon can be worn very comfortably for hours. They remain remarkably cool and hot-spot-free. Internals

HarmonicDyne Zeus Review - Soundnews

Mid-bass is the best part of this headphone by a long shot, it is so present in my tunes that I’m hearing it first and then everything else. It is elevated by a hair, adding warmth, weight and that is the sound I like the most, since it always lifts my mood. Zeus seems to be following the Harman curve in terms of FR and that is a good thing in my book. Build quality: It's pretty good actually. I like it over most headphones and I don't think it would break over time. The adjustment hinch does feel like it could break, but only if you bend the headphones to the inside and you never do that so it is fine there. The pattern on the outside though feels slightly sharp when you move your fingers over it, could be a problem but I think it's fine. In general though it feels pretty good and I like it. Harmonic Dyne Zeus + iBasso DX220MAX (350 USD + 1880 USD) – Dx220 MAX is just the type of DAP that can put a ton of punch into the Zeus, but still make them musical and wide. The sound is really powerful and controlled, with a ton of sub-lows and impact, a warm-ish midrange, and a ton of space. The treble is somewhat smooth and relaxed, but really detailed, while the midrange is juicy and vivid. It’s no secret that Linsoul has made itself a major fixture in the audio community, largely by being one of the most reputed vendors of Chi-fi products overseas. They’re kingmakers, and HarmonicDyne is one of the latest of this company’s darlings. Most of the high frequencies are smoothed out and offer a neutral timbre without rolling off its tail. These aren’t the most powerful frequencies, but you might prefer they stay out of your way. Even though there’s no real pop to them, the highs still give you some satisfying height and light texture where they can. Summary Gone are the “German-made” drivers, replaced with “Beryllium” dynamic drivers in the Zeus. Beryllium drivers, once only used in high-end headphones from companies such as Master & Dynamic, are now being seen used in fairly inexpensive products out of China. Beryllium is well regarded as having the right combination of weight, stiffness, and rigidity for headphone drivers.
