Passive cables and adapters do not have such a conversion chip built in. Instead they rely on the source to do the conversion. It really seems like there is a software/driver bug of some kind. But unfortunately I have no good clue on how to find it. This issue is however fixed, and I uninstalled the graphic drivers and installed the newest version. Now it doesn't work anymore. I assume it stopped working after a Windows software update as i could not open the AMD Radeon software due to a mismatch between the real driver version and the version the AMD software thought was installed. it appears, if there are any errors against it?Please note any errors and report to DisplayLink Support And I was even allowed to change the resolution up to the native resolution of the monitor (3840x2160px).
