The P-125 has pretty much the same features the P-115 does. The only difference is that Yamaha has added 6 new rhythm patterns and got rid of the Pianist Style function. Modes You can also use this port to connect your smart devices to the P-125 to expand its range of features and functions using 3rd party apps. Keys are heavily weighted than usual. Takes a lot of getting used to. But it helps strengthens your fingers There are a total of 14 buttons located on the front panel of the instrument. Some of them have little LED indicators built into them so you know which function is being used at the moment. I really enjoy the action on the P-125; it is very fun to play, very “solid” and consistent feeling, not too heavy and not too light and there is no sideways play on the keys whatsoever – you definitely get a sense of a well built product. That being said, since the GHS action is a dual sensor action and does not include escapement, it is not as realistic of an action as some of its competitors. In particular, Roland’s PHA4 action (found on their FP-10, FP-30, FP-30x and FP-60 pianos) is a triple sensor action with escapement; the PHA4 is definitely closer to the feel of an acoustic piano. That doesn’t make the Yamaha GHS action “bad” just not quite as close of a feel to an acoustic piano as the PHA4 is. A very talented reviewer I pay close attention to described the Yamaha GHS action as “2 dimensional but still great to play”, and I think this is a very accurate way to put it.

The sound engine ( Pure CF) and the keyboard action ( GHS), which are the main components of a digital piano, have remained the same, which is not necessarily bad…BUT

Now let’s talk about the second most important aspect of any digital piano – sound. There are several changes that Yamaha has made in this department since the previous model. Roland has recently (at the time of this review) released an upgraded version of the FP-30 with some much desired improvements. Here are the notable changes included in the FP-30x: Thanks to its powerful 4-speaker sound system, the P-125 actually provides a very good dynamic range from the softest pianissimo to the loudest fortissimo.

There are 6 dedicated buttons for each of the sound sections (Piano, E.Piano, Organ, Strings, etc.) as well as buttons for a metronome, rhythms, and recording features. It does have two pipe organ sounds, nothing mind-blowing, but still perfectly usable for most situations. You can listen to some demos online to get an idea of how they sound. With such a size, you can even put the P-125 on a table. There’s actually a special setting called Table EQ that optimizes the sound when the keyboard is placed on a flat surface. The P-255 does have an edge over the P-125 in this category, thanks to its higher polyphony count and more powerful speaker system. Usually, that’s enough to make me gush over a digital piano. However, that’s a very tiny edge here, in my opinion. Aside from the sheer similarities in other features and functions, it’s really hard to ignore the disparity in price.

Fact Box

Graded implies that the keys feel heavier in the lower registers and lighter on the higher end, just like an acoustic piano. Another notable thing is that the USB port on the P-125 can transfer not only MIDI data but also Audio data (USB Audio Interface), which is quite surprising to see on an instrument in this price range.

You can use this connection as an audio in to stream audio from your device to your piano so you hear that audio through your speakers / headphones (so you can play along with YouTube videos, your iTunes collection, online courses etc) The location of the speakers allows the sound to come out in both downward and upward directions, which creates an immersive sound field that envelops the player.Due to the Pure CF Sound Engine, the Yamaha P125 Ais able to give you an amazing recreation of the renowned Yamaha CFIIIS 9ft concert grand piano and offers incredible dynamics and expression. P 125 Tablet DT is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold. This works excellently in providing a far more pleasant long-term playing environment through headphones, where there is typically a level of brashness in being directly connected to a digital instrument’s output. More Features It would be nice to see some evolution of the GHS action considering it’s been around for a while and in my opinion, there are more realistic key actions available on the market at this price point (Kawai RHC, Roland PHA-4 Standard).
