Isolation is average and I prefer wearing it over-ear to prevent microphonics or noise on the wire. The earphone has a large vent beneath and a small vent near the nozzle in front of the driver. There is no noticeable driver flex, unlike the E10. Much to my delight, the little molding and machining marks are present on this pair of IEM. The SoundMagic E80Cs don’t quite reach the same heights as the budget E10Cs, and would be hard-pressed to beat the formidable Sennheiser M2s at this price. The Sennheisers’ warm, full-bodied presentation throws the E80Cs’ hard edges into the spotlight. There’s a brightness to the in-ears that never quite goes away no matter much you run them in.

Machined in one piece, the metal earphone body makes the E10C robust and ready for the rigours of everyday life, whatever you throw at them. Inside the sheath of the cord a twisted cable ensures strength and a tangle-free listening experience. SoundMAGIC's engineers have tuned the drivers of the E10 to deliver a heavy bottom end. Delivering deep rolling bass balanced with superb musical detail, the E10 creates an exciting and fun listening experience. Key Differences It’s also worth pointing out the sensitivity rating of 112dB is pretty high, meaning the SoundMagic E11C in-ears can deliver plenty of volume. It also means they’ll use less of your device’s power at average listening volume, which is a bonus.

SoundMAGIC E11C Review | HiFiheadphones SoundMAGIC E11C Review | HiFiheadphones

If the accessories budget has been cut to put more money into the sound, it’s a good move. The SoundMagic E11C sound dramatically different to the E10, without hugely altering the basic character. If they only sounded as good as the SoundMagic E10, they wouldn’t stand a chance. Solid pairs from Skullcandy and House of Marley offer similar grade sound and wireless at the same price. However, by upgrading the sound significantly, the E11C have become earphones we’ll recommend just as happily as we did the E10 years ago. Verdict I’ve never been a huge fan of the SoundMagic E10 design. The coloured L/R earpiece parts; the “go faster” style stripes – they’re just not to my taste. The main characteristic of E11C is tonal balance, which is outstanding for a set of earphones costing that little. E10C was tonally balanced as well, but E11C has a more full-bodied and expressive presentation. The tuning is different in E11C: The bass has been increased, but in a soft way, without though sacrificing the mids and highs, so, the tonally balanced character of the set has been retained, but the presentation is more articulate.Bass has greater impact, and there’s less mid-bass, which softens the sound in a pleasant but indiscriminate way. Just as SoundMagic promises, the E11C are a much more grown-up sounding pair than the E10. Despite their bargain price, the SoundMAGIC E10C's are superbly built. Whereas most rivals would have plastic casings, the E10C's feature stylish metal ones. These are not only tough and durable but the metallic finish is stylish, too. A robust travel case is also included, keeping your headphones safe when not in use. Impressive but affordable upgrade. If you're thinking about buying a new set of earphones to replace the standard issue iPod ones, SoundMAGIC's E10 is definitely worth considering."

SoundMagic E10C review | What Hi-Fi?

Audio clarity is amazing and one can easily differentiate between the various instruments. At higher volumes sibilance is not observed which is a big strong point for E11C. I can recall the cables on the E10 feeling a bit fragile as well as having a very light build. The E11C has improved prominently on these two areas. It also has a nice color scheme and a sturdy build on the cable making the E11C look way more premium than the E10. Both the cable and molding feel strong and it doesn’t get tangled easily. The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user The SoundMagic E80C buds come with more sizing options – almost a dozen are in the box, in fact. This makes it easy to get a good, comfortable seal that gives you the best bass performance while also staying secure in your ears. The E11C/E11 keeps the main features and design of the E10 and improves significantly on build quality and the cable design whilst keeping the price very affordable. The SoundMagic E11C’s outer design is structurally similar to the old E10’s. These are aluminium earpieces with large apertures and a little piece of silicone rubber where metal and cable meet. The strong bassline driving the funky beat in The Cat Empire’s Fishies sounds playful through the Sennheisers – it bounces and twangs and is full of life.
