Description

Samur is mentioned in the Slayer's Testament, specifically his role in bestowing the Doom Slayer with "terrible power and speed" to use against Hell's forces. [8] He is depicted in a drawing from the "Book of Daeva" where Samur is shown as a hooded figure watching as the Slayer fights with two Night Sentinels against demons that resemble the ones from the cover art of the classic Doom.

When the Father fought with Davoth in Jekkad, Samur was there to bear witness. Upon Davoth's defeat, Samur urged the Father to destroy the Dark Lord, but the Father, having once favored Davoth, could not bring himself to destroy his own creation and instead enshrined Davoth's life sphere in the Ingmore's Sanctum. The Father would then have the Seraphim store his own life sphere in the Sanctum alongside that of Davoth and the other vanquished gods. The Father had foreseen that humanity would discover Argent energy and had the Seraphim use a cloned human body to move among them in secret and guide their path. At this point, Samur transformed the remainder of the Father's consciousness into the AI VEGA to assist in this task. If you look close, you can see gritted teeth gritted under his skull, and the Maykr augmentations that control his marionette body. Samur Maykr was originally a Maykr who served the Father and was responsible for administrating worlds, studying divine experiments, or reporting progress in all creation. [1] He helped the Father in defeating Dark Lord of Hell, Davoth, and reducing his essence into a Life Sphere. However, Samur failed in convincing the Father to destroy Davoth's essence and ending Hell, as the Father could not go through in eliminating his first creation and preferred containing Hell. [2] Thereafter, the Father withdraw from the physical realm and Samur was tasked to store the Father's Life Sphere in the Luminarium of Urdak. Samur was also instructed to bring the Father's Life Sphere to a place that none could find it should the Father perceive any rising dangers from Jekkad, even though this action will brand Samur as a heretic by the Maykrs. [3] Upon returning to the ARC Carrier, Samur is seen to be in distress. According to him, he is in the process of undergoing the Transfiguration, with the only remedy being the restoration of the Father to physical form. He thus requires the Slayer to act as his proxy and enter the Blood Swamps in search of the Father's life sphere. Again the Slayer displays a negative reaction to these commands.

Just before the deadline, Gordon's work was scrapped, replaced with a much longer OST that Gordon considers "wasn't up to standard". In an attempt to rectify that situation, Gordon alleges that he and Stratton agreed to a joint statement, after he declined to "take ownership" of the mistakes that he claims were made by Mossholder. A draft of that statement "never arrived." Following the end of the Hell invasion of Earth, the Slayer, Dr. Samuel Hayden, and the Armored Response Coalition embarked on a mission to find Samur, seeking his help to seal Urdak, which have fallen to Hell, and preventing the demons from using the realm's higher dimension to renew their conquests.

The DOOM Eternal Revenant Statue immortalizes not just the likeness but the very essence of one of the game’s most beloved heavy-hitters. The demon is portrayed ready to unleash a barrage of missiles from its shoulder-mounted cannons—a menacing pose familiar to anyone who’s been the target of said barrage. It stands atop a boulder, portraying its propensity to take high ground during battle. Instead, Gordon says Stratton took to Reddit, with an open letter discussing "increasing concern[s]" in Gordon's ability to deliver the OST to deadline, among many other claims. Gordon describes this post as "an extensive series of lies that blamed me entirely for the failure of the DOOM Eternal OST", saying that it was "littered with lies and disinformation which directly contradicted the actual events and contractual clauses". Due to Stratton's seniority within the studio, he continues "nobody thought [he] would go out on a limb and post a series of false accusations on Reddit".

DOOM Eternal Doom Slayer Figure

The Doom Slayer journeyed to the UAC Atlantica Facility where the body of Samur is located. Upon reaching Samur's stasis chamber, Hayden transferred his consciousness into Samur, and revealing that he and Samur are one and the same.

Your "gifts" are owed to us now. Repay the Father for all he has granted us both by returning him to his throne - and then, he will save us all. The Father, who considered Samur his most loyal servant, had commanded him to remove his essence from Urdak. Samur obeyed even with the knowledge that he would become an outcast among the Maykrs. Passages from the Eri oa Hiim (the Lamentations of the Seraphs, or Book of the Seraphim) found throughout the Slayer's journey explain several facts: When the Slayer arrives in the Blood Swamps, he has set his objective not to retrieve the life sphere of the Father but rather to destroy it. As Samur is allowed to enter the sacred grounds of the Sanctum, he meets the Slayer there and urges him to go on and claim the Father's sphere, smiling as he believes he is about to receive what he wants. With a look of defiance, the Slayer instead crushes it in his hands, sending the Seraphim into an agonizing, energetic convulsion, leaving him unable to act.

DOOM Eternal - Doom Slayer Figure

Samur Maykr, better known as the Seraphim, is an entity mentioned in the lore of Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal about which little was initially known. One detail known for certain from the beginning was that he was opposed to the forces of Hell: he is said to have gifted the Doom Slayer with super-human powers of speed and strength. Although the word is plural (the singular form is "seraph"), in the context of Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, the name applies both to this single character and to the entire species of similar beings. If you’ve ever faced off with the Icon of Sin when he dropped by the Earth, you’d know that he’s pretty colossal. At 8 inches tall, his mini figure towers over the rest of the collection. While he does not appear in the game, Samur is mentioned within the Codex entries. It is revealed that Davoth subtly influenced his thoughts, leading him to believe that the Khan Maykr would lead the Maykr race to ruin. This manipulation led Samur to empower the Slayer with the Divinity Machine as a way to stop the Khan Makyr's plans and, by extension, exact Davoth's revenge. [9] [10] Quotes [ ] When the Slayer enters the Maykr facility with Samuel, the facility refers to him as the Seraphim. Furthermore, when VEGA is placed into an Urdak system, he asks Hayden if he is "the Father," indicating that VEGA may have been created from the Father's essence by Samuel after he stole it from the Maykrs. Despite distancing himself from the release on social media, Gordon claims that the post has led to notable harassment, and also says that Zenimax offered to settle when Gordon got lawyers involved in the issue. The deal at that time was that "they would pay me the money owed, but on the condition I produce a new, polished version of the DOOM Eternal OST." Gordon's counter-proposal, however, made it clear that he would be unhappy working under the "shadow" of Stratton's post, and asked for it to be taken down. Zenimax allegedly didn't accept those terms, and instead withdrew the settlement offer. During Argent D'Nur's war against Hell, Samur played a role in helping the Doom Slayer and his allies in stopping a major demonic assault led by a monstrous Titan known as the Dreadnought. After witnessing the Doom Slayer's prowess in battle, and acting on his own accord, Samur hurried the Slayer to the Chapel of Purity and submitted him to the Divinity Machine; granting the Slayer enhanced strength, endurance, and agility. This allowed the Slayer to single-handedly defeat the Dreadnought. As Samur acted without the Khan Maykr's consent, his actions was seen as heretical and he was believed to have been exiled from Urdak afterwards. [6] [7] During the Doom Slayer's journey to Taras Nabad to recover his Crucible, he comes across the Chapel of Purity and the deactivated Divinity Machine; this prompts him to recall Samur (known in the campaign as the "Hooded Figure") helping him into the Divinity Machine. Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. All parts of the statue - from the flesh and bones to the guts and cybernetic enhancements - are created with an attention to detail well worthy of display. There are only 900 pieces of this limited edition collectible worldwide, each with an individual number and a Certificate of Authenticity.
