Description

Fenrisian Grey: This is a light grey that is a perfect match for Naggaroth Night, as it is a colour that evokes the cold, stark beauty of the winter landscape. When used in combination with Naggaroth Night, it creates a sense of balance and contrast, with the dark blue representing the night sky and the light grey representing the snowy tundra below. The Decurion Lanius is a cruel tank commander unique to the Sons of Horus. Emerging in the latter days of the Heresy, these hatch-mounted enforcers maintain the Warmaster’s grip by callously executing any allies who fall out of line. Designed to work with the plastic Deimos Pattern Predator, the Sicaran Battle Tank, the Sicaran Punisher, or the Kratos Heavy Assault Tank, this resin miniature also comes with a choice of heads. Ulthuan Grey: C7E0DA ● - Pallid Wych Flesh: CDCEBE ● - Russ Grey: 547588 ● - Fenrisian Grey: 709CB7

The lands of Naggaroth are sometimes blighted by blizzards and choking dust storms. [2a] Major Cities [ ]

Blending time! I mix Sotek with Ultramarines Blue Contrast in different proportions and paint that over the intermediate areas to get some smoother blends from blue to turquoise. You can see this most prominently on the greaves. I also use it for some shading. Time for the wings. Here I’m just going to get away with drybrushing. I do progressively lighter mixes of Celestra Gray and Xereus Purple here, which helps give me a much more muted tone on the wings. More washes. I want to retain a pale look, so I washed the flesh bits with a 50/50 mix of Agrax Earthshade and Druchii Violet, then I did a couple thin coats of Druchii Violet around the eyes and a ring of Nuln Oil to give the eyes a smoky, shadowy look on her face. The Naggaroth Night paint is a color that can add a sense of mystery and drama to any model or project, making it a great choice for those looking to add a touch of the unknown to their work. What armies to paint with Naggaroth Night The Naggaroth Night paint from Citadel Colours is a deep, rich blue color that evokes the dark, mysterious depths of the night sky.

Accent Paints: Abbadon White, Pallid Wych Flesh (as a white), Nuln Oil, Seraphim Sepia, and various contrasts for small accents. Paint pure white in the helmet lenses and tubes before glazing it with a light green. Tesseract glow would probably work well these days, I guess? The important thing is that Drukhari benefit from having one or two really bright details, and this was that. Dark Eldar: These are a race of Eldar that have turned to the worship of Chaos and have embraced their own depravity. Naggaroth Night is often used as a primary colour on their armor to give them a sinister and exotic appearance. Wash the entire mini with the following wash: 1 part Sepia wash, 4 parts Orange wash, 1 part flow improver, some water The shoulder pad uses almost as many colors as the rest of the model – the Green is Warboss Green washed with Biel-Tan and then highlighted with Warboss Green and Skarsnik Green. The tongue is Pink Horror highlighted with Emperor’s Children. The horns are Rakarth Flesh washed with Agrax Earthshade and then highlighted with Reaper Polished Bone. And the eye is just a dot of Reaper Pure White. I miss those old metal shoulder pads – they had so much detail and they looked great. The skin on the sergeant was done with Elf flesh mixed with a little Codex grey, highlight up with some bleached bone. Shaded with flesh wash. I’m planning to hit the rest of the Stormcast half of the box in much the same scheme, so stay tuned. Despite it being a crummy model I’m pretty happy with the overall result. it’s not too bad a paint scheme to do a full army of. I want the wings to be much more muted and less saturated, so I start by washing them a few times with Nuln Oil, doing more layers toward the base of the wings, and going lighter toward the edges, to give the wings a bit of a fade as they go out.

Thin down some Mournfang Brown aggressively, then put it on the cloaks everywhere but the recesses. It should be so thin that it goes on sort of transparent – you’re really just using this to smooth out the Contrast effect so it looks nice For the armour, use Apothecary White contrast, then highlight the plates, raised nodes and the edge of the shoulders with Lothern Grey. Optionally add some White Scar to anything you really want to pop. Next up I did a basecoat of Ultramarines Blue Contrast Paint to lay down the base color. Swiftblade recommended I use Macragge Blue but I didn’t have any of that sitting around and this is basically the same shade. Turns out Agrellan Earth is much easier to use when the British Weather decides to be nice for a weekend.

Edge Colors: For edge highlighting sharp edges and your brightest highlights - some of these very closely resemble Dry Colors and can possibly be made by simply mixing enough water/Lhamian Medium in with the Dry Color Cultivate your own collection of horrors from beyond the galaxy with this Termagants and Ripper Swarm + Paints set. It contains three push-fit Termagants and a Ripper Swarm, a Citadel starter brush, and five paints – Corax White, Wraithbone, Naggaroth Night, Thunderhawk Blue, Magos Purple, and Armageddon Dust. The scales are one of the defining features of 2nd edition Alpha Legion army. I painted these by freehanding thin “U” shapes on the model’s greaves and shoulder pad with The Fang, then I highlight them a bit at the bottom of the U with Reaper Snow Shadow.Eldar Flesh: EDC184 ● - Tyrant Skull: C6AF8B ● - Terminatus Stone: BDAA9B ● - Longbeard Grey: B4AEAE That pretty much covers it. I’m happy with the final model and it wasn’t nearly as much time to paint as I expected it might take. Coat D'Arms match the OLD citadel colours (pre-1992) so there might be some difference. Shining gold has the most noticeable difference, The steel is a new recipe for me using Scale 75 Eclipse Grey > Scale 75 Anthracite Grey > Scale 75 Behring Blue > GW Fenrisian Grey > Scale 75 White
