I believe every perfume has its own personality and here is Coco Mademoiselle’s. You can pretty much sense that this perfume is very lively, fresh and energetic. Compared to Chanel No.5 which is a perfect fragrance for maturity and life experiences, Coco Mademoiselle reminds you of a young girl who is ready to make mistakes and learn from them while experiencing life with her own rules. The scent’s projection was softer than Chanel’s but still noticeable enough to draw compliments. The perfume held its character well on my skin, but keep in mind, individual experiences may vary.

The dry down settles into a clean white floral, fruity essence that I think better suits the Spring and Autumn months.

The top notes are Saffron, Pink Pepper, and Mandarin Orange; the middle notes are Rose, Nutmeg, Iris, and Violet; the base notes are Patchouli, Cedar, Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Amber. Definitely a close match since the dry down relies on patchouli, so be aware if that was your least favorite note in Coco.Extremely affordable although the bottle looks a bit cheap, this dupe will certainly still smell as expensive and classic as Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. The verdict: Considering I bought this before I even realised it was so similar to its more expensive counterpart I would definitely recommend this one. With its fresh floral notes and a perfect balance of subtle woodsy and animalic accords, Raindrops evokes a similar olfactory experience. Also a mature fragrance, Miss Dior skips the citrus opening that Coco Mademoiselle has and instead adds fruitier tones such as strawberry. The dry down is very similar in the two, with patchouli and vetiver taking center stage. There is a debate about which fragrance has greater longevity; needless to say you won’t have to reapply it.
