At times Leo tends to put Emma on a pedestal. But when the truth finally comes out, she says to him, “Life made sense again, when I met you, Leo. I remembered why people wanted to live.” Do you think he has ever believed she loves and needs him every bit as much he loves and needs her? What do you do when you find out everything your wife ever told you about herself is a lie? Allow Rosie Walsh's love story slash mystery, The Love of My Life, to explain.” A cleverly plotted romantic thriller filled with scandalous twists and turns and a juicy central mystery, Ghostedproves impossible to put down. . . Deliciously addictive, surprising and sentimental, Ghostedis a must-read for fans ofLiane MoriartyandJojo Moyes.” a solid 4 stars, perhaps 4.5. fans of THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME will enjoy this one. i prefer that one over this, though. I loved this book. What kept it addictive was the interplay between Emma/Emily's life with Leo and dealing with her past. The author teases you throughout the book as to what that past was and how Leo learns his wife isn't who he thought she was via her obituary. Definitely recommend!I have mixed feelings about The Love of my Life. While I loved the premise, love a dual narrative, and love having an author throw around pieces of information that get put together in the second half of a book, I just couldn’t connect to this story as much as I wanted to.

Combining the gripping pace of a psychological thriller with the tenderness and sorrow of a love story gone wrong, this one’s a winner.” Leo vrea să afle ce ascunde soția lui - e o aventură amoroasă? A făcut ceva în tinerețe? Ce anume? De ce ascunde lucruri față de el? And she might just have got away with it, if it weren’t for her husband’s job. Leo is an obituary writer; Emma a well-known marine biologist. When she suffers a serious illness, Leo copes bydoing what he knows best – researching and writing about his wife’s life. But as he starts to unravel the truth, he discovers thewoman he loves doesn’t really exist.Even her name isn’t real. I think there are some aspects of this story that are outstanding. I loved the dual pov/timeline format, the intriguing history of our FMC, and the overall character development. However, I had a few issues with this book as well that kept me from fully enjoying it.And she might just have got away with it, if it weren't for her husband's job. Rosie Walsh’s The Love of My Life is my favorite kind of thriller—gripping, heartbreaking and impossible to put down.” The multiple points of view Walsh employed served the story perfectly; I raced through this book to learn the truth alongside Leo. Do you agree that Leo's investigation is "spying," as he puts it? Do you believe he's justified in his actions? What would your first thoughts have been if you'd been in his shoes?

I think that it is a combination of the two. She already felt so much guilt about her decisions that she found them difficult to discuss. Learning that Leo was adopted and his reaction to being adopted made it even harder to tell him the truth since... - robynn Emma and Leo narrate the various chapters that start off strongly intriguing but as things become clearer, some things seemed to implausible to me. Most were explained away and the twists were interesting but given the fame of Janice and her very famous husband, Jeremy, who has reached out to Emma to Leo's surprise and confusion; I just couldn't shake how the media didn't unravel the mystery which wasn't well hidden nor that "surprising". Furthermore, the media parks outside Janice's and Jeremy's home but then seemingly stop and do not further mentions in the 24/7 news cycle. Huh? In fact, when Janice goes into hiding, no one seems to notice her presence at the place. Rosie Walsh’s The Love of My Life is my favorite kind of thriller—gripping, heartbreaking and impossible to put down.”—Laura Dave

Who tells your story?

This is about Leo, who discovers that his wife Emma is hiding things about her past from him, and the more he looks into things, the more secrets he uncovers. Domestic drama ensues. Emma says, "that's the thing with memory: it makes up its own stories. They harden and calcify in just the same way as facts." What do you think she means? Do you agree?

The Love of My Life by Rosie Walsh | Waterstones

a solid combination of mystery, suspense, romance, life journey/growth that had me hooked and wanting to figure out why the wife was so mysterious and full of secrets.

stars--There's nothing wrong with this book, but I guess I was expecting more of an emotional punch after Ghosted. I listened to it as an audiobook and the dual narrators did a fantastic job keeping the story moving forward. The moment at which Emma finally meets her adult son is one of the most charged of her life, a longed-for event she had all but given up on. How do you think mother and son handle this moment? Do you feel hopeful for their emerging relationship at the end of the novel?
