But the triumph of the evening is that it renders Enron's rise and fall in exciting theatrical terms, and leaves us with the feeling that, as the bonus culture thrives while others lose their jobs, the lessons of this vast collapse have still to be learned.

The world premiere production of Lucy Prebble’s celebrated new play ENRON sold out its entire run at the Minerva Theatre Chichester and sold all 21,800 tickets before opening its six-week run at the Royal Court. It's probably not a play that's supposed to be read since it relies so heavily on putting on a bombastic show to dazzle the audience (I'm still kicking myself for missing the play when it came to Edinburgh last year) but even without the visuals, there's a very entertaining tragi-comedy in these pages. Inspired by real-life events and using music, dance and video, ENRON explores one of the most infamous scandals in financial history, reviewing the tumultuous 1990s and casting a new light on the financial turmoil in which the world currently finds itself. Prime mover is Jeffrey Skilling: a Marlovian over-reacher who boldly announces "we're not just an energy company, we're a powerhouse for ideas". Directed by Rupert Goold with associate Sophie Hunter, the scenic and costume design was by Anthony Ward, lighting by Mark Henderson, music and sound by Adam Cork, video and projection by Jon Driscoll and movement by Scott Ambler.ENRON is produced in the West End by Matthew Byam Shaw, Act Productions, Caro Newling for Neal Street Productions, Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Headlong Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. i will definitely be reading again - mostly because i ahve to, the play won't revise itself - but i am sure i will emjoy it a second time. They did something to do with creating shadow companies to make it appear as if they didn't have any debt?

The only difference between me and the people judging me is they weren't smart enough to do what we did'.How many pieces of drama about business fraud do you know have Jurassic Park references, android accountants, 3 blind mice, messiah imagery and raptors?
