Help young children count the dots on their chosen dominoes to make them familiar with the dominoes. There are various ways to play dominoes. Here is a simple set of rules for dominoes for families with young children:

Put the dominoes face down and shuffle them. If there are more than 2 players, each player must choose 5 dominoes. Each player must hold the dominoes in such a way that its face is hidden from the other players. Animal dominoes are an exciting way to engage little minds and boost brainpower: teaching kids essential skills such as pattern matching, counting and concentration. Animal toys also offer an ingenious way to initiate learning and life lessons as little ones discover fascinating woodland critters. Dominoes games encourage cooperative play and teach sharing and social skills in a fun and practical way. Safety and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do, and for this reason, all of our games for 3 year olds are crafted using the highest quality, responsibly sourced materials. If you are unsure of how they will deal with this i would suggest you do the first two or three together as a class and introduce how they have to position (see the last slide or the video) the domino’s to go around the outside of the A3 paper.

At this point i would show them one you have made before or a rubric so they get the idea of what a finished product looks like. Jaques’ wooden dominoes set includes: A complete collection of wooden Tiles with vibrant animal toys design. Determine if your game will have one round or if the final winner will be decided by the total points achieved over numerous rounds. The total score includes all the dots on all the dominoes remaining in the hand of other players. Yes! Young children can benefit from looking at the pictures and seeing the similarities and differences between them. Matching games are simple to grasp, with few rules. Younger ones may need help to find the matching pieces and supervision to make sure they don’t put things in their mouths. More Matching Games for 18-Months to 3-Year-Olds: When they have finished there are two written exercises in the middle. If you worry if your students will be able to spell the animal names then you can put them on the board and use it as a phonic exercise to have them go find out the name.If the answer is yes (“Yes, I do!”), have them place the domino so that the matching animals overlap, making a chain. That player then asks the following player if they have the next animal in the chain, and so on until one player wins by getting rid of all of their dominos.

The first player will choose a domino and place it down on the table. Count the dots on each end of the domino to make the young ones understand that they must match that number. Our Wooden dominoes are created using FSC Approved wood and decorated using non-toxic, water-based paints.Help the younger ones by making them observe the moves of others and help them decide their moves. For instance, if they can match an end with 3 dots, point to the domino in play on the table, and count the dots loudly. Then, ask them to look for dominoes in their hands that match the domino in play.
