The Separatist Alliance relies on its seemingly endless ranks of battle droids to secure victory in the battles of the Clone Wars. It should be no surprise, then, that still more droids are used to maintain these vast droid armies. While members of the Separatist high command like Count Dooku are plotting a galaxy-wide strategy, T-series Tactical Droids are leading the way on the ground and other droids, like the PK-series worker droid, are keeping the army up and running. Ultimately, Star Wars: Legion is more than just a game—it’s an invitation to create an army that only you could have built, gathering troopers, vehicles, and iconic characters from the Star Wars saga and pitting them against your opponent’s army in battle. The first step in building your army is to select your side and choose the units that will make up your army. Even within the Core Set, you already have impactful choices to make with units of Rebel Troopers and Stormtroopers, along with 74-Z Speeder Bikes, an AT-RT, Darth Vader, and Luke Skywalker. You may be planning to play out a small-scale skirmish between just a few units or a massive battle, but either way, the units that you choose are the foundation of your army.

With the loss of his squadmates and the evidence, Marrt resolved to complete the Mission to Belgaroth on his own. He returned to the factory, fought against the Banking Clan's battle droids for several hours and ultimately burned the facility to the ground shortly after obtaining Czerka's data records as proof of the company's dealings with the enemies of the Republic. Though heavily wounded, he escaped from Belgaroth and was transported to a Republic medical facility on Sacorria where he was able to personally deliver the evidence to High Jedi General Kit Fisto and Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano. [1]War has engulfed the galaxy. The vast forces of the Separatist Alliance, bolstered by seemingly endless ranks of battle droids, have pushed the Galactic Republic to the brink of dissolution and defeat. The Republic's only hope is its army of elite clone troopers, led into battle by noble, Force-wielding Jedi Knights. The war between them is an epic struggle where every battle could turn the tide and change the fate of the galaxy. You can immerse yourself in this epic conflict, assembling your forces and leading them against your opponents in the legendary ground battles of Star Wars™ with the Clone Wars Core Set for Star Wars™: Legion! [3]

While armies of Battle Droids built in droid foundries and Clone Troopers created from the same genetic template may sound strictly uniform, there are plenty of opportunities for you to build a unique army. On top of choosing the troops and vehicles that round out your armies, the Clone Wars Core Set gives you the ability to tweak your individual units with a suite of forty upgrade cards. Whether you’re looking for a way to increase a unit’s firepower or to improve your lines of communication, you’ll find a mix of new and reprinted upgrade cards to build an army uniquely your own. It was I who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them." ―Emperor Palpatine, to Luke Skywalker [1] Four unpainted, uniquely-sculpted Phase II Clone Trooper miniatures and a Phase II Clone Trooper unit leader miniature appear with their standard issue DC-15A blaster rifles. Air Support. Beam slices through tight enemy formations, allowing the commander using it to target up to two additional enemy units. However, vehicles aren’t the only way for the Republic to mount an offensive. Clones are perhaps the best resource Republic commanders have to complete their objectives and when rallied toIn the period of the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War, it was not only clone troopers and stormtroopers who were organized into legions. In particular, the term seems to have been widely used in the Trade Federation: it was said that the C-9979 landing craft which bore the Trade Federation's battle droids into action could carry "legions of troops," while the Neimoidian soldiers who guarded Neimoidia and the purse worlds were known as the Neimoidian Home Defense Legions. The official field manual for the Imperial Military, the Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide, estimated that the total amount within a stormtrooper legion lay between 8,192 and 12,800 troops. [2] [3] In addition, although legion was the largest possible unit of the Stormtrooper Corps, various legions from other sectors have been known to join in a major offensive with other legions belonging to the Sector Group where the offensive took place. [4] In addition to the miniature, you’ll find all of Anakin Skywalker’s abilities laid out on a unit card alongside his three signature command cards that allow him to leave his own mark on a battle. Powerful as he may be, Skywalker is more susceptible than most to the temptations of the dark side, and this weakness is represented by a new Flaw card that his opponents can exploit. Finally, rounding out this expansion are six upgrade cards ensuring Anakin Skywalker has the training and Force abilities to face any test. Star Wars Legion is a tabletop miniatures game published by Atomic Mass Games (formerly Fantasy Flight Games) in which two players, each controlling a small army of characters, fighters, and vehicles, compete to accomplish scorable objectives. The units are all based on our favorite galaxy far, far away, and bring together characters from the classic Star Wars movies, TV series, shows, and books. Legion in terms of the cost in time, effort and price is very different from what you previously know and love. The figures do require assembly, only gluing and positioning, but that does require some skill and patience—they're not pre-assembled, pre-painted, ready to go. It's very much a wargame in the hobby sense, and if this is your first wargame, you're going to have to spend some time putting the figures together and painting them if you want them to look great…”
