Without actually having the Friends set, I'd agree that the interior of the Friends set is definitely way better - more shelves, actual refrigerators, a better checkout. There's also a waste/recycling element (the bottle processing) which could necessitate the use of yet another large truck to move. There’s also excellent gender-balance in the set, with females actually outnumbering males, which isn’t particularly common! And yes, this means the minifigure can sit almost normally, with the prosthetic leg being angled upwards. The parking lot attached to the side of the supermarket, and I love the parking sign, which I was surprised to discover was printed!The forklift is perhaps a little heftier than LEGO forklifts of old, but looks great and can accommodate a minifigure sitting or standing, given the tall roll cage originally introduced in Power Miners. Adding the final touches here and there of fruit crates, lights, and huge carrot sign, we have finally completed the set. The footprint of the set is quite large, accentuated by road plates, which you may or may not be a fan of. The exterior appears superb and the car park has proven remarkably effective, especially around the loading dock. Of course, the real reason is that LEGO hasn't made a carrot costume yet, but within the universe of the set the peapod doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

At least when I decide to build a version of it, it won't be hard to put together a version of it I like, since most parts are fairly readily available, and those that aren't can either be skipped or substituted (for example I never use blue glass).
