The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings. They make an excellent addition to a pocket knife that already includes a versatile steel blade a sharpened reamer and a host of other functions.

Whether that’s good or bad depends on how often you need tweezers and toothpicks, and how annoyed you were when you lost them. I keep a tool kit in the car, and as an IT guy, I will never be without a Cyber Tool M in my laptop bag. Since the Compact has a combo tool and the Explorer (as well as the Yeoman, Wrenchman, Cyber Tool, etc) already has(have) an in-line Philips, I never actually used the can opener as a screwdriver. The saw on the three-layer Victorinox Farmer and its big brother, the four-layer Farmer X, saws on both push and the pull strokes.

The scissors are taken from the large 111mm models ,Not that they are any bigger than the 91mm models but the nail knick is on the other side , and that's the bug bare ! Fast forward a year and a half and I ended up joining the army and it's the one knife I've used consistently, I want to upgrade eventually but I really just can't find the right knife at the moment, and owning this useful tool prevents me spending money on an upgrade.

They came back to me and said quote ( we wanted all the nail nicks on the same side for user convenience) well they never bothered will any of the others they make ? For my purposes, a key ring attachment wasn’t needed, and one such as this, which sticks out rather bluntly at one end of the knife was definitely not wanted, as it could conceivably, over time, damage the fabric of whatever pockets it was being carried in. Well compared to all other models in the officier range that is , victorinox have used scissors from their 111mm range that i may add are no bigger and ive even contacted them to try and get an answer about it !

Its not a major concern because of the out standing warranty from Victorinox, but it is i hope not the start of yet another famous brand going down hill ? Can't add much to the published spec or to what is already known about Victorinox fit and finish or that, of course, it is sharp out of the box. And I know from previous experience, that maintaining such a sharp edge on this, as with any other Swiss Army Knife, will be easily done.
